Hi, Im David. I still speak with Jacque; he's a great guy. I'm married now with kids, and got my MBA. I also quit smoking - yes, that pack of Marlboros was massive haha.
It's funny because I was in and out of my mum's home from the age of 15 and fully left to go flatting when I was 17. I hadn't been living at home for over a year when I went on this show.

Rene's mother didn't raise her, didn't nurture her. What did her mother expect, her mother just popped out more babies for self gradification! None of these parents raised their children to have respect for themselves or what came out of their mouths. All of the smoking, drinking, etc results in these teens not making their own choices, their addictions make the choices for them. I hope both Rene and David got their lives on track.

I remember acting out to get my moms attention, just wanting her to hug me or notice I needed attention. Seeing these mothers cry breaks my heart because they don’t know how lucky they are

Uh, denying them food is unacceptable. Sure, they have overstep their boundaries, but denying them their basic needs like their meals? That's insanity.

23:02 the children are being punished because of David and Renee’s selfishness by smoking wilfully they cost everybody the farm visit.

I think the punishment related to the farm visit was inappropriate and unrealistic. They took two teens in knowing that they would test them and break the rules, so the punishment shouldn’t have been so dramatic - and certainly shouldn’t have affected their own children in such a negative way.

Ultimately though, the parents came through and handled it masterfully - and bravo to the kids for approaching them.
