Looking at that hole in that truck rim!!! That looks like a 3/4 ton rim!!! So I guess I need to locate my 3/4 ton rim,and measure center to center,on two lug holes, directly across from each other, plus measure the inside of rim diameter, where it looks, like that one is sitting on that piece of plate, and I’ll have a partial blueprint pattern !!! Thanks!!!
After watching your video I went to the metal supplier in town and bought some square stock and made my own tire changer. It is very much like yours and it was one of the most rewarding projects! Your design is so simple yet it works absolutely amazing. Thank you so much for sharing as it gave me the inspiration to make one just like it!!
With a few tweaks it a good video, maybe a jockey wheel with a steel square foot to take bounce of vehicle,it be good when you add bead breaker to it.from down under mate.
a little soapy water sprayed on the bead will make your life way easier. also before you mount it, lube both beads, and then just slam the first bead down on at an angle, you will not need to use a bar to get the first bead on.
I made one similar for small lawnmower type tires but I made the back of it where I can slide it up and down in a sleeve and goes down to the ground and lock it with with a hole and nut welded on and a bolt through that to lock it. I can pick up on the receiver part with one hand and lock it with the other hand. That puts some pickup weight down on it. Takes most all of the sway and give out of it.
