I Became King of the Underground in Vintage Story

In this challenge, I wake up deep underground with nothing but my underwear and a headlamp, trapped in a seemingly endless world of caves, abandoned mines, ancient ruins, hostile creatures, and whatever other horrors are lurking in the darkness.

This playthrough uses a custom collection of mods and configurations to make an underground-only Vintage Story experience possible. If you want to try the exact setup yourself, I’ve released the full modpack below.

Fun Fact. The bit about "being strapped into a makeshift zipline as a baby" actually has real life basis. My crazy sister and her rugged Canadian husband used to do that to my niece when she was 1 🤣 All I could think was: "She is going to be an adrenaline junkie"

Honestly I really miss the old days of Minecraft survival maps that have this kind of story or drive, and I think that it's definitely an under-explored genre for Vintage Story. Keep it up, really enjoyable content

So this is how those dwarves in Ren felt digging out their mountain home.

If you don’t rock and stone, you’ll never get home!

You had a similar experience to the people who once hid in caves from The Rot.

23:56 My grandpa was able to start his forge with an iron scrap, hammer, and an anvil. He would just extrude it manually by hitting it until it became red hot. It's not a made up ability.

Great video, loved the "virtually an unkillable god" while taking starving damage 😂.
Keep them coming 🎉

Finally an underground only run, kudos

I like the new narrative style, it feels immersive without being cringy and over the top.

The roleplay was good, but adding a section in the beginning, middle, or end as an explainer of the mods chosen, the goal, and the conclusions would be appreciated

"I wanted to go for a stroll, but not before freshening up". Hahahaha! Now that's funny!

1:11:05 with the austere delivery of all the narration, this so totally caught me so offguard lmao

I loved your manner of storytelling mixed with dry humor. Subbed. Definitely binging your other vids after this one

Finished!! Excellent choice in mods, loved the more narrative style you went with, the setting was SUPER cool and makes me want to attempt my own Subterranean Nightmare XD
