Little back story... Will Ferrell was supposed to be wearing daisy dukes but put wore this instead live. So that's why everyone was really giggling at the beginning, including Will Ferrell.

I still pinch myself that I got picked to be in the live studio audience that night and saw this sketch live 💯

"Lookin good Dale. You the man"

What makes this even funnier is that in rehearsals Will Ferrell just wore short shorts, not a thong. When he entered the room for the live show, he had the short shorts cut up like a thong. The cast had no idea he was going to wear a thong.

This was the first SNL skit after 9/11.

I appreciate that Sean William Scott knew his lines and did not need to use cue cards. Well done, sir. Well done.

This skit brought smiles to a grieving nation. As it took place post the darkest time we as a country had faced 9/11. Much kudos to Will Ferrell for his bravery in this skit! He is a pure comedic genius!!

Will Ferrell single-handedly letting America know that comedy was not dead.

It's amazing how he doesn't break character! Lols these were the golden years of SNL.

I'm also watching Rachel Dratch, her facial expressions are so funny.

He keeps calling them "shorts" when it's clearly a thong 😂😂😂

Definitely, the best part of video are Amy's and Rachel's reactions. They don't say anything, they just sit there and I'm dying.

Kudos to Seann William Scott. Only straight face in the skit.

I would love to know who wrote “the angle of my dangle is inversely proportionate to the heat of my meat”... that is one of the funniest lines ever 😂😂😂
