In 2022 Jordan Gorman hired a hall, sold 12 tables and hoped somebody would turn up. 300 people did. Four years later he's putting 10,000 through the SEC.
Steven sits down with Jordan Gorman, owner of Caledonia Events and the man behind the Scotland Card Show. Jordan was a nursery teacher in Edinburgh taking Zoom calls with eBay from the staff toilets, and the show didn't turn a penny of profit for three years before he handed in his notice.
This one goes everywhere. Building Scotland's biggest card show with no events experience, the overcrowding backlash after the summer show and exactly what's changing for Edinburgh, launching a card show at Olympia in London and then selling it after one event, the awards, the wedding in October, and the two rabbits who make up most of the team.
Scotland Card Show returns on Saturday 14 November at the Royal Highland Centre, Edinburgh. Tickets: https://royalhighlandcentre.seeticket...
