Two of the most brilliant comedic minds of the last 30 years at least and they're gone. The comedy world is a fucked up place.

The only time Patrice isn't hilarious.  You can hear the concern in his voice.

it's heartbreaking hearing the genuine concern from Patrice and knowing that both him and Greg would leave us so soon. Jimmy also seemed to really care. I imagine they talked with Greg after but damn it's tough to listen to. he was obviously on something

Didn’t think it was possible to respect Patrice anymore but after listening to this clip and hear his genuine love and concern he had for Greg it shows how real he was . RIP both , sorely missed two comedy greats

One of the few (if not only) celebrity deaths that affected me deeply.  Still so sad to think of the comedy community without Greg Giraldo.  

Patrice is really sweet about Greg's addiction.

As a struggling addict it’s real interesting listening to Greg talk about his struggles and how similar they are to mine, I just struggle with alcohol now but when I was on all types of drugs I had a similar psychotic episode where I thought agents were following me everywhere and infiltrated my job and my family and I became extremely violent and paranoid for a long time. Finally I just had to say fuck it and drop all contact with the people around me and basically start my social life over from scratch minus my family. It’s been real hard and I wish I could stop and idk why I can’t. God have mercy

Listen to Greg Giraldo from 40:07 to 40:55. That's as honest and heartfelt as it gets. This guy had a very good heart and I hope he's with God & content right now.
