I like how direct and honest Yhwach is as opposed to Aizen who Was riddle wrapped into an enigma. After centuries of being inhibited, makes him horrifying

Wholeheartedly, Yhwach's my favorite villain in Bleach

So you KNOW I'm eating good with this

Yhwach replacing his Father, is a very twisted but also fitting ending for him.

Hes honestly kind of a parasite. He spawned an entire race to help him achieve his goals. Knowing full well that eventually  he'll steal their powers and life for himself. So many quincies died because of his personal vendetta. Not saying his anger towards the soul king wasn't justified, but his actions ensured the quincies would be considered an enemy for most of history.

The TYBW anime has Kubo directly adding the new scenes in himself, even drawing sequences for the staff to animate, so this was very intentional.

Even Ichibe called him a "lowly human"

Didn't know I'd be eating dinner at 10:30PM but I'm not complaining

If Soul King's body was severed, imagine what parts Ywah would lose. Ywahe's moustache somewhere in the world... the most powerful body part.

I never gave Yhwach his deserved dues back when TYBWA first started coming out in the manga but now I realise what a rich paradox of a 'human' he is. The way Bleach frames godhood and life itself is one of the most fascinating ways I've seen a fictional work do it.

In my opinion the anime confirmed to a old theory. Yhwach is the legitimate son of the soul king who’s reincarnated into our world.
In the primordial realm, Yhwach was a different person living under a different name.

Just throwing this out there because I’ve been thinking about the significance of names in Bleach, but I think the potential that defines his humanity is exemplified by the fact that Yhwach is given two names, Yhwach, which is the one he is first given, and Zangetsu, the one that Ichigo gives him during “the blade is me” (also a parallel between Ichigo and Yhwach being the ones to name their own power)

He's simultaneously understandable and completely off his rocker, I love him as villan so much

31:22 😂 potential with a picture of potential man

Honestly, I never thought of Yhwach having this dense layer of humanity within him. So thank you for your hard work and effort. Appreciate it.

holy the editing is peak😭

I see radman, I click. Please, more hxh whenever you can goat.

Yhwach has become a relatable character. I feel like he is not a man, rather a inevitable force of nature

I have heard a fan theory stating that each pupil supposedly represents one of each five races in bleach...Even though I personally don't really second that theory, supposing it has some truth to it, the Soul King possessed powers of all the races except Hollow (as far as I know, maybe I am wrong on this because this is stated in the novels which I haven't personally read). While watching the video it spawned to me when you talked about the part of Ichigo's training and the (very spot on) analysis about the forward pupil showcased in Yhwach and briefly in Ichigo, that if the theory above is kinda true, maybe the central pupil is the representation of the human race, and its potential and ability to move forward. That is somehow conflicting because if Reio did not have a relation to Hollows, then the last pupil added is possibly a reference to Hollows, and it may be another indicator that this theory is not really well supported, but I would like to see opinions related to this.

Another thing you didn't touch on that completely works with the rest of your analysis is the fact that Yhwach is driven by fear of death and regressing back to his sightless and senseless form.  We can infer his fear of regressing simply from his actions and attitude towards using the power of others through the Auschwahlen, and he very clearly states that he feels the pain and fear of every Quincy that dies when their souls return to him, which is why he wants to return to the primordial world because he is so afraid of the very concept of his own mortality, that he wants a world where no one dies. Like I'm afraid of ticks and wasps and hornets, but I'm not trying to end the species so I don't have to deal with it.
And the thematic juxtaposition of such a grand scale of action all for the cause of what turns out to be such small motivations, such a selfish and petty reasons for such world shaking events.
