High above Blackrock Mountain, Nefarian built more than a fortress. Inside Blackwing Lair, Deathwing's eldest son experimented with the powers of the dragonflights. This WoW Classic lore story follows the hatchery, Vaelastrasz, Chromaggus, and the fall of the black dragon.

The opening egg scene and some visual details are cinematic interpretation, not a literal in-game cutscene. All visuals are newly generated in a style inspired by the Classic game world; this is a fan-made lore documentary, not official Blizzard footage. The instrumental score was composed for this video.
