Sending out heaters advertised as air conditioners during a heat wave just seems diabolical. Like some straight up petty supervillain type of stuff.

My dad tried to buy me one of these. I spent like 10 minutes trying hard to explain that thermodynamics don't work like that. And that if someone actually figured out how to make a windowless ductless air conditioner that sat in the middle of your room and did this, it wouldn't cost a couple hundred bucks, it would be the invention of the century and make someone a trillionaire.

I reported this ad…and Googles response was this ‘We decided not to take this ad down. We found that the ad doesn’t go against Google’s policies, which prohibit certain content and practices that we believe to be harmful to users and the overall online ecosystem.’ Meanwhile comments to videos are censored.

This is why education is important. Anyone with even a basic idea of how an air conditioner works will know right off the bat that this ventless product is a scam.

We obey the laws of thermodynamics in this household

I am still laughing about "he didn't answer because he died".

Remember, kids: "If there's no duct, it's fucked."

Like, selling scam products is sadly normal these days, but pretending to not get your order to try and sell you the same scam product twice is next level douchebaggery.

You ordered an EpiCooler, and you got an EpiHeater.

And guess what—despite numerous warnings in the reviews, Amazon is still participating in this scam. These guys really have no scruples.

That's not a company selling gadgets, that's a bunch of criminals.

“Lisa, in this house we OBEY the laws of thermodynamics!”

@halfspeaker 1 month ago

As a lizzard man, I appreciate the 113 degree heating capabilities.

@Beohun 1 month ago

Not only did they try to say they broke the laws of thermodynamics, but also tried to break the laws of space/time.

The name "EpiCooler" sounds like something that gives you an ephedrine injection

10:20 - What they neglected to mention is that it can only get your room to 60°F in Minnesota winter; and it can only get your room to 113°F in Phoenix summer.
