"Can I have a drink?" "Nein!"

Another brilliant example of how drums can change the entire mood of a song. That's why I enjoy so much this series.

The "simplicity" of the drums in Rammstein is such a key aspect of their sound, very fun

The first accent crash on "nein!" In the chorus was actually really cool, really made it hit.

Insane to me that this song is nearly 30 years old.

Her - "oh, it's four on the floor."

Me watching, having never played drums in my life - "Of course!"

Okay, her groove changes the feel of the entire song in a really cool way. Her half-time approach gives the song a more introspective feeling, as opposed to the aggressive marching rhythm. Episodes like this are exactly what make this series so fun to watch!

I've listened to this song a billion times, and I think Jess Bowen's version adds a sense of tension—a vague sense of unease—that really brings out the menacing quality of the lyrics even more... Great job, hats off to you!

Your version made it feel like the dance club scene in every vampire movie, and I'm here for it

it's crazy how much the drums change the entire vibe of the song. such an underrated instrument. usually people focus on the guitars and vocals, but drums are also so crucial

Any artist willing to come in and give it a try says a lot about the artist. Respect to anyone going on the show.

God damn, this is an amazing version. It’s insanely different but I fucking love it.
That’s why this series is so awesome. What an insane spin on the track.

Thanks for adding more of the no-drums part when the drummer is listening, gives a better idea of what their thought process may be like

Dude you gotta get Christoph Schneider on the channel! Amazing drummer!

This was one of the most interesting ones for sure. She’s clearly not even slightly familiar with industrial metal as she had no idea where to start. So cool. Love how Jess approaches these challenges!
