In the middle of summer, ice is essential for fishermen to prevent fish from spoiling and to maintain their freshness. At Mukho Port in Donghae City, the Donghae City Fisheries Cooperative Ice Factory serves as the central hub responsible for the port's summer operations.

Although the operation is now mechanized and produces ice with only four employees, the workforce has been reduced, meaning the staff remain busy. For the employees, the most joyful and grateful thing is seeing the fishermen happy when large catches lead to a greater supply of ice.
