The bus from Hiroshima to Osaka is niiiiiiiice and I would have been asleep and drooling on the window within the first 20 minutes. Oooh you know what might be fun, a cruise around Japan! Make a full round trip around the perimeter of Japan. Think if the food. Think of the sunrises.

Exquisite as always, solo, but oh, you poor dear madman! I've taken cross-country bus trips, and no matter how comfy the bus, they're EXHAUSTING. I'm glad you're stopping at night.

Yours is the only channel where, before I settle-down to watch - I make sure I have a pencil, pencil sharpener ( I'm old skool; I'm very, very old skool ) and a note book. From you actually telling us what makes up the meal you are eating - for this I also sit with a A to Z of Japanese ingredients next to me - to covering the distance and the travel times between places....you are my go to. I will be travelling around ( especially rural as well as industrial ) Japan for a year.I have just received road and rail atlas in-preparation of my travels. This video has soldered my resolve to experience the feel of Japan by travelling via buses. And when I do go.....I'll have typed-up notes ( did I mention that I'm old skool? ) slotted into my railway routes guide as well as my A to Z . So I am very thankful for you and your channel existing. You are both EXACTLY what I wished for!!

Taking the Bus in Japan seem pretty fun, especially at the rest stops. Bus travel is fun when it is scenic areas.

Four days?  Oh man.  Reminds me of the time I took buses halfway across the US - New Jersey to Kansas, that was torture.  Your trip looks much better, especially the food.  Thanks for sharing your journey with us!

There's something very satisfying having the long bus trip come to an end at night. I know that exhaustion of a multiple-day bus trip, though riding on the main bus carrier in the U.S., Greyhound, I met some folks who traveled across country taking 7 days or more! It really is the cheapest travel option here, though the slowest.  There's a toilet on-board, but the seats can be very uncomfortable if on a multiple-day trip. I took a folding  step-stool to rest my feet & legs,  which helps take the stress off the buttocks! Also snacks, because the stops Greyhound makes are mostly at convenience stores or truck stops where the food is not so great. Japan has the better convenience store foods. And the bus stations have little cafes, which are rare in the U.S. (they used to be common here until plane travel became more affordable, so less people regularly traveled by bus). In my town, the former Greyhound bus station & cafe is now a bank. It was a good place to get an inexpensive lunch in downtown Everett. In many ways, the U.S. could copy Japan for travel ease and comfort.
