Why are they unprofessional? Because most aren’t licensed. The chisme is nice though, so here we are 😂

Unpopular opinion, your hobby DOESN'T have to be a hustle or career and that's okay.

Three women were made to feel uncomfortable by one woman? All she did was open the door. I applaud her for leaving.

Nah nobody should be a hairstylist if they don't prioritize time that so unprofessional and nobody has time for nonsense like that

I swear it kinda feels like they’re treating clients like family members, like hear me out: a family member might be a little more ok with you being like “oh I gotta go for a bit could you wait a sec?” and leaving them in your home for a sec to pick up your kid from school or something. Or they might be ok with bringing their own hair or washing their own hair bc you’re just doing them a favor, especially if you’re just braiding a family member’s hair for free or something bc yea, duh, they’re family. But that’s exactly why this type of service wrong: this isn’t family, this is a stranger who just paid you for a professional service. There needs to be a boundary there. Sometimes, trying to cut costs by going to the cheaper option will cost you more in the long run

I think black hairstylists act this way because they KNOW just how important our hair is to us AND they know we cant really go anywhere "else".    I find it sad that this is just about the only service where we ACTUALLY keep our dollars in the community......yet this is how we're treated for it. 🤦🏿‍♀️

Wig Maker here! Never pay through cash app, Zelle or any other platform that won’t refund your money if you get scammed. No booking site = red flags. It’s $6 a month for a basic booking site and if sis doesn’t take herself seriously enough to pay $6, you shouldn’t take her serious either. Pay a deposit but never pay in full up front.  And if she has EVERY day available. Red flag, she’s spreading herself thin and will probably cancel on you once she realizes she would rather have a day off.

My red flag 🚩 is when they don’t wash hair 😂 you gotta come washed, blow dried and pressed and help braid 😂

if they don’t do washes, blowouts, trims, colorings, presses, and braid downs they are NOT professionals. Some of these services don’t apply to people who do locs and braids ONLY, but the point still stands.

That male stylist. If i was going to him for anything hair related, as soon as i saw those edges, and hair situation, i would have noped out of there so fast. 🤣🤣🤣

Don't overwork yourself, make sure you are put together and are not overworked.

He lost me at $500 because no sir.

I went to a high-end salon where a colorist put bleach on my hair and wandered off for TWO HOURS. She came back and had the gall to ask ME if I thought it was done. I learned to bleach and dye my own hair after that.

I'm literally learning to braid my own hair as I watch this because once I master it my worries will be gone (I already know how to do my own makeup and nails) 😅👀

I'm with the other girl in the video if you don't name drop why complain about it...WHY. I would want to know about this person/business so I don't end up going to that same person or business especially if that is how they do new clients.

loved hearing that girl affirm that them talking weird about queer people was a red flag. to me it always is bc if you're overly concerned about someone's personal life then something must be up with you...

The thing that bothers me is if we’re late, we get charged. If the stylist is late, we don’t get no type of discount…make it make sense. My time is precious too.

Tell me, if you were dropping your kids off at a daycare, would you feel comfortable living them at some random person house who doesn't communicate and has an attitude? How about a doctor? You need surgery, and they talk about beating you up when you walk in for your appointment and mad you open the door 'wrong'.

What about buying a car and it's in a sketchy area? Would you just continue business then?

If you wouldn't take unprofessionalism from other businesses, why allow that with hairstylist?

From the second clip... not only was his wig weird, but it also looked like "somebody" went to Atlanta to see a veneer tech... Whoo chile, lol.

My favorite natural haircare professional is bald. He knows how to grow and maintain his hair, of course, but being bald gives him more time for clients.

That woman interviewing the male stylist……I lost it when she flashed those fake veneers! 😂🤣
