Review of Itiwit 100X inflatable kayak - Part 2. Fin boxes, and a yoga mat for a little duck dog!

Oti Adventure Toller and little legs Merlin!

In review 1, I made a comparison between the Itiwit and a very different style from the Sandbanks range.
At the time I said that the Sandbanks was great quality, just too unstable for me.
The Itiwit has proven to be the perfect choice stability wise, but what about the quality?

Covered in this review:
fin boxes
making a dog comfortable
how to put the drop stitch floor in
self regulating pressure valves
seat design

Try blowing the sides up half way each, then insert your floor and inflate that to 100% and then go back to your sides and it will all just blow up into place, its quite nice.

Nice video, we have the IT x100 3 person. Only used it once hopefully we will be using it soon in Yorkshire. Like the idea of the cheap Yoga mat, we have a Border collie who use to love kayaking in our old sit on top.

Yoga mat is a great idea. Thanks!
Also, I saw a man put bigger fins in to improve tracking. Expedition fins that Decathlon supply for SUPs.

Hi, I don't usually comment on videos, but I am enjoying watching your videos and felt I wanted to comment on the problem you are having with your fin. This is just a thought, but if I was in your position re travel to get a warranty problem sorted, I would first try sanding the base of the fin on sand paper to slightly reduce the thickness. If this did not really help, I would then try sanding a small amount at a time from the sides of the fin where it slides into the mount. This may already have been suggested to you but I did not find any other replies to this video. The other thing that I noticed, and believe me I'm not trying to teach you to suck eggs, is that I think you would find it easier to only partly inflate the side tubes to get shape then fit and fully inflate the floor. before fully inflating the side tubes.
( also thinking about the way I understand from your video the fitting has altered, it may be as well to sand a slight angle on the base of the fin either side ) hope that makes sense.
I love your dog, and I have an old Springer Spaniel who is a life time canoe / kayak traveller, so was pleased to see your dog mat idea as I was pondering about that problem, as this is our first inflatable kayak together. By the way I do have an X100 kayak myself so your fin problem video was great help to me. Either way I hope you get the problem sorted. Regards Bob

Easier to put floor in before inflating

Hi there, I also have itiwit 100 and unfortunately I also seem to have lost the fins. Now that I'm gonna order them online my question is, were they all same I mean all three parts? Thanks in advance.
