I had this on test one month ago and with existing reviews and subscriber milestone videos I was working on, I've only just got round to posting now. But Audi have since released a facelift for this car 😫

Very annoying...but I have a completed review so it would be shame to throw away a week's testing, filming and editing! Guess it gives me an excuse to get the new one on test 👀

Changes on the new one from the looks of it include:

New Steering Wheel
Different styled screens and possibly a new multimedia system generation, same as Audi A5 I reviewed?
Touch controls for Climate Adjustment

I'll try and get it on test when it's actually out and I guess I'll have to moan about the climate control going to touch again on another car😂

Great review Nick! I've had the an A3 for the past year now and I'm loving it. I got it in saloon form (surprisingly large boot!) and in the Navarra blue colour. Honestly ticks every box! I went with S-line with the 18in rims which I think are really quiet at all speeds, plus the 1.5 150PS engine is a MHEV and I've managed to get it up to 60+ mpg on some motorway journeys. Couldn't agree more with the muted default sounds settings on the SONOS system. I felt really disappointed at first but pump that subwoofer up and it's lovely!

Great review as usual Nick must admit..I do like the audis..with the A3.s...they have definitely raised the bar quite a bit..its a shame Merc are axing the A.class 😢...do like the Audis nice dashboard and buttons 😊..screen built into dash..look so much better..nice one mate 👍 Gazz

Good Review, I have had one of these for about 2 months now, similar spec I think but just the S-line and without the sunroof. I have a flat bottomed steering wheel which feels and looks quite sporty. I agree that £47k is too much for this car but I got a preregistered one for about £15k less with 10 miles on it, so to all intents and purposes brand new. I completely agree about the interior, it's not garish and it is - dare I say it, slightly retro with the steering wheel buttons, small screen and centre console buttons. You use the phrase, understated quite a few times and I think this sums it up well. The electric range is excellent, I charge mine to 80% as I understand that this will protect the battery in the longer term and I tend to get about 60 miles out of it so I just top it up every couple of days. It drives beautifully and there is no "range anxiety". If I am being picky I would say that I don't really like the gear selector and the radio volume touch thingy is just silly. Thankfully I can easily adjust the volume with the steering wheel control. Overall though, I'm very happy with my purchase and would recommend it to anyone looking for a smaller premium cheap to run hatchback.

Normally from my dealers I get testdrive a car for about 20min, better to have it over the weekend that will make big difference to get all impressions from the car.

Great review Nick I have a 2021 s line it does not put a foot wrong.Comfy fast and economical.Mines in Tango red with a B and O system.Build quality is great I know there are some scratchy plastics but that is par for the course these days.Not a bump,rattle or squeeked yes very happy .

I miss my TT Quattro S line TTFSI so much, that blue too. A real eyecatcher, she was so low which was the reason why I sold. The roads are quite rough where I live. Boy racers always sat next to me wanting to race, I didn't take the bait I knew I would leave them eating the dirt. I could cry 😢. Just specking a new C Class and testing one over the weekend but obviously not the new model, I have to wait until it comes either by the end of the year or wondering it's better to wait until January and make it a 2027 registration. The dealer hinted that I can have more discount if I can take it earlier as soon as it arrives in Spain. Nick you would have loved her.

Great review, I used to have the pre facelift A3 30 TFSI for 4 years with the Comfort and Sound Package with B&O. The system sounded pants for the first 100 hrs then it came alive! In terms of road noise could be several things, pre facelift came with Pirelli P7s (like mine did) and the facelift some come with Nexen. One thing to note the PHEV does not have lowered S suspension despite the styling cues. So the arch gap looks a bit big. The only critique I had for the Sport trim A3 which I had is that Audi are still using halogen rears, brake and interior lights!

Yes one day I was looking at the A3 config and I thought that's the wrong car but sadly now, its kinda a stuck on curved screen and AC buttons are gone!

I've had the 2026 S3 Sportback for almost a year now (purchased last October). Happy to announce it's been a great car. Superbly fun to drive, so responsive and of course, being 4 wheel drive, sticks to the road like glue. It has all the bells and whistles as standard like the Head Up Display, Matrix LED Headlamps, etc., unlike most of its competitors that make you pay extra for these kind of options. If I have to be critical, the only things I'm not so keen on are the annoying so called "safety features" like Lane Assist that gets turned off every time and the front grille which isn't as good a design as the previous model. However, the upgraded torque splitter 4 wheel drive system more than makes up for those cons. There's a bit more scratchy plastic inside than I'd like for a car costing just shy of £50K but, overall, the interior is a really nice place to be. I've taken a look at the new 2027 interior with the now ubiquitous skateboard screen and sparser dash and I'm very glad I got mine when I did.
