So her last act before she passed away, it was not of love, but one of insanity and violence… Some thing for ex-wife to think about

It is incredible how MIL died ATTACKING HER OWN DAUGHTER.. and the daughter still blames OP. What kind of cognitive dissonance do you need to have to even do that.

Funny how OP’s skeleton keys ended up opening his eyes to the shitty situation he was in with his ex-wife and ex-MIL.

Those keys are expensive you know, those are capable of opening every door of the dungeon they're found in!

Jesus. A calculated 3 yr plan is psychopathic. It's a good job he keeps screen shots and records everything and has CCTV.

Stealing from a joint account 5x in 2 years sounds like a big deal to me.  It doesn't sound like the apple fell far from the tree

Yet another great tale that could go in the book of "how to destroy your life in a few easy steps"

MIL lived and died by her hoard. While OP feels guilty, it's not his fault. If anything, STBEW is more at fault for it for arguing with MIL.

"You should pay because youre the one who got my mother arrested" um no babes, your mother is the one who got your mother arrested😅

I heard this whole saga. Op did not end her. Hopefully he'll get better.

This is turning into a reddit legend like "Do it for Dan" and "My sisters are renting out my cabin"

Eventually, she probably would have had a heart attack, a way. Or her house would have burned down, collapsed due to rot, or she'd have gotten an infection from the mold or feces.

Update 4, it's INSANE how the soon to be ex blames op for reporting exmil rather than actually being concerned at what was found. Instead she's furious that her mom could lose the house. And talk about projection to call op a "horrible and deceitful" person. Honestly, even with it being out of anger, ex mil's hording should have been reported LONG ago. Op did NOT go too far. Honestly, he just let out everything he kept inside. I'm not surprised that ex wife cried but still cursed op out. Typical that ex mil demanded op to pay for the costs of restoring the house and even told her daughter to sue op for the money. At least ex wife was smart in knowing she had nothing to sue op for. Typical that ex mil also attacked her daughter when told that her kid can't afford to restore the house then caused herself a heart attack. In no way is that op's fault, it's actually all his ex wife's fault for enabling her mom so much that it got to that point. Not surprised that ex wife then attacked op and blamed for her mom dying. I understand that she had a weak heart, but that's no reason to enable her and living in that house probably made her health worse. But the ex wife just wants to blame op rather than accept that she's at fault not op. I'm betting that she was trying to be petty to op with the bathroom and how she said she wasn't coming to hurt op. But joke was on her in the last part.
Update 5, definitely not surprised that she tried to defame op to get revenge but didn't think of the consequences. Called it on the projection earlier and wow talk about vile. She's just a bully and a golddigger and just as vile as her late mother. I still believe that she made that mess to be petty with op since she blames op for no longer getting her way. It's a blessing that she didn't get pregnant and not surprised at her stupidity to tell op not to go to the funeral when he didn't want to go in the first place then lie on FB about it and not thinking that op had the evidence to prove she was lying. I'm not surprised that entitled witch is furious that she had to live in a tiny apartment. Glad she's miserable and she's receiving karma for everything she's done. Typical that ex wife was to spiteful in anyway possible to op because in her entitled mind, op is to blame for her life falling apart and her mom dying. Bet it pissed her off on how everyone was calling her out on her lies and had to take the posts down. Not surprised that she then resorted to flying monkeys. Hope the ones that believed op chewed her out but good on op for blocking the delusional ones. Their probably just as psycho as ex wife and ex mil. Typical that ex wife tried to play victim by accusing op of "blackmail" she probably only stopped because she knew op was serious in suing her if she didn't stop. Not surprised that she then tried to save herself by saying " angry in the moment" then furious that everyone still called her out then blame op for everything, again. VERY typical that she then tried to mock and hurt op just an attempt to somehow get back at op for her life being in ruins. Why am I not surprised that ex wife and ex mil attempted the same thing with her ex and therefore he dumped her and another guy before that. Talk about a pair of golddiggers, but karma is slapping ex wife now and bet ex mil is burning in hell.
Update 6, not surprised that ex wife is desperate to get back at op for her life being in ruins. It's definitely both of replacement maternal figure and to spite op. Typical that ex wife lies about everything to set off a narcissist egg donor. Of course ex wife tracks down op's new house just to ambush op with narcissist egg donor. Bet she didn't count on op going off on them to the point he terrified his mother. I agree with op that ex wife was extremely dumb in thinking that she could use his egg donor. At least she was smart in not lying to the cops and add more harm to herself. She probably didn't go crying to them because she knew they wouldn't believe her and would get chewed out. Op was smart in doing all that in text message. I'm betting that ex wife threw insults at her and the works. Typical that egg donor was passive aggressive in saying goodbye to op but at least she was smart enough to get rid of the parasite. Pretty sure part of why she's not fighting is that there's nothing she wants and knows that she's beyond screwed with everything she's done to op. Not surprised that she then immediately moved out of state. She probably is scared of op and finally realized that she can't do anything to hurt op like she wanted. So her solution is to just leave the entire state.

Those keys weren't the start, they were the final straw. And there's no way OP was responsible for MIL's heart attack, the diseases carried in by the pests and rodents and molds in the hoarder house were. She was already close to her final heart attack.

Man STBEX really destroyed her own life for a couple of Keys.

As for her mother, may she not rest in Peace.

"My mother in law stole, then sold my vintage skeleton keys."

- added to the list of rabdom things I never imagined hearing in my life 😂

Wow!! MIL was exposed for hoarding then had a fatal heart attack while raging about it. Did not expect that on the bingo card

Naturally mother-in-law turned her ire on her daughter. And died because of it. And then the bench of a wife goes to OP's mother thinking to use her against him, only that backfired brilliantly. Holy wow!

This story belongs to the "epic legendary status of "Do it for Dan"
My jaw is still on the floor!! 😮

"Why was I never told of her heart condition?"
"It's none of your damn business"

That right there is the reason why its not his fault, also to begin with, none of this was his fault
