When people ask who the hardest wrestler I ever faced was, they usually expect one name right away. They want the monster, the guy who made me look across the ring and think, this might be a very bad night. But after more than 50 years in wrestling, toughness means different things. Some men could hurt you with one shot. Some could grind you down for an hour. Some were so strong that everything they did felt heavy, and a few could make you wonder whether the next mistake might put you in the hospital. So if the five hardest wrestlers from my career have to be put in descending order, this is how they come back to me.
