it's beautiful how well you combine actual education with a battle that will hook everyone's attention. Excellent video!

"Space vikings from Norway are no longer bound by the Geneva Conventions" is a sentence that fills me with profound glee.

I can only assume that Vader's absence is owing to being engaged in a duel with Major General Sir Nils Olav III, the Norwegian Army's highest ranking penguin.

"I'm counting twelve AT-AT's advancing on our position.
...
Three of them just slipped and fell. I'm counting nine AT-AT's advancing on our position"

I think my favorite part of this is that you're portraying the enemy as an actual threat.

As a US Army Paratrooper and Staff Officer currently attending Command and General Staff College, and as a big Star Wars fan, this video is literally everything that I love.
Ladies, when your man is doing dishes and staring off into space, he isn’t thinking about another woman. He’s thinking “If a lightsaber can bust open a belly panel on an AT-AT, then a Karl Gustav from a concealed position definitely can…”

2:48 I like the idea that Vader took time to make photo with his boys on Hoth.

A bit of Star Wars lore for you:
During the trek from the landing site to the Rebel base, the 3rd AT-AT unit actually lost 3 AT-ATs to crevices in the mountains. So actually, the Norwegian force would only be fighting 9 AT-ATs.

Speaking as a man who worked for years on the Age of Empires series, I am amused and gratified that you use the trumpet "attack" alert we used in your videos. Well done.

I love how he doesn't opt to use anti-Tank mines against the walkers. He's nice

But the real question is, if you get a K-kill on an AT-AT with a Javelin does it still only count as one?

@Zanair 1 year ago

Just as a point of order: According to the Incredible Cross-sections books (which are still considered canon), each AT-AT walker had 2 teams of Speeder Bikes (4 total) in their complement. Which should have been able to assist with flanking maneuvers. I also think you may have had too few AT-STs. Here you had 1 AT-ST scout walker per AT-AT assault walker. More than likely they would have double that with two Scout walkers to provide flank coverage to the AT-ATs.

It occurred to me that the Imperial reliance on energy weapons is likely a function of logistics. Even if projectile weapons were equally effective in-universe the Imperial mission is interplanetary and would be hampered by ammo constraints. Using the presumably unlimited energy from shipboard reactors to charge blaster batteries would be far better than shipping ammo across the vast distances of space, even with hyperdrive capes. Or maybe they just look cooler 😂

People seriously underestimate how powerful missiles or any modern high explosives we have today.

Geneva convention? you mean the Kenobi checklist?

Captain Piett: "Lord Vader, the rebels defeated our strike force!" Vader: "No matter, keep the rebels confined to the planet's surface, inside their planetary shield. The Emperor has something special planned for them." XD
