An independent commission has found Manchester City guilty of serious breaches of Premier League financial rules over nine seasons. The club denies wrongdoing and has appealed the decision. Sanctions have yet to be decided.

Prime Minister Andy Burnham has said he would be concerned if the club lost its Abu Dhabi owners, praising their investment in Manchester. His comments have prompted opposition calls for him to disclose his meetings with the owners and Abu Dhabi representatives.

It looks like fraud and false accounting to me - a prison sentence for British citizens if found guilty. I doubt that these UAE businessmen pay UK taxes, so what use are their billions of investments if they are not made honestly? All they do is gain unfair advantages over honest businesses for as long as they can get away with it. Just think of the other football clubs which have lost out over this affair!

This is about fairness in sport not about saudi money investing. Man City broke the rules and need to be punished otherwise other teams will do the same
