These cards being niche in 2026 hits me right in the 2011

you literally just made a video highlighting all of my favorite cards lol

19:57 Honor-Worn Shaku is a beast when you’re playing with shrines. Suddenly, your enchantments that just sit there become mana sources.

Great video, every magic youtuber who's voice isn't annoying is another blessing.

There seems to be a perpetually growing advantage us old players have every year in our vast knowledge of OLD (now expensive) cards that have already been tried and tested hundreds of times and now being able to combo with them with newer cards. We got those old cards for pennies back in the day. Now if new players want those cards it costs dollars and quite a few of them.

Sometimes the advantage is also knowing the cards similar to each other but slightly different mana cost, keywords, etc or cards with different names but play nearly identically. Plus, we already know how to deal with old cards. New players have a whole learning curve on the spot.

I love when I play an old obscure card and the whole table is lile "wtf is this? No way this card exists".

For cards like Soul Conduit and Reverse the Sands, the effects get interpreted by the game as "the affected players will either gain or lose an appropriate amount of life in order to end up at their correctly calculated life totals". So if you have an effect that prevents players from gaining life, or something like Bloodletter of Aclazotz or Plague Drone, those effects will be considered when resolving the Conduit or Sands, and could straight up end the game on the spot.

1999 MTG . Man I love the old cards .

I run the Honor-Worn Shaku in my Oops All Chandras deck. Tapping planeswalkers to generate mana with zero downside is elite

Endless whispers is one of the best cards in my Page deck!

I use endless whispers in my sephiroth sacrifice deck. If I play things like accursed marauder or merciless executioner, then when they die I give them away and their etb triggers again causing lots more sacrifices.

I also run it in my Kambal deck which I have built as a gifting deck. Once this enchantment comes out I can force every other player to also start gifting cards :)

Lots of great finds!

I play Cultural Exchange in Talrand, it's such an awesome card! Also, it targets players and not creatures so you can swipe someone's hexproof voltron commander lol

If you like Koskun Falls, you should check out green’s version: Elephant Grass :)

20:56 Soul conduit would go hard in my M.O.D.O.K deck as a win con. I had no idea this thing existed, so thank you!

debt of loyalty is particularly good when someone boardwipes, because regeneration protects from destruction effects.
Now you're the only one with the biggest creature!

Videos like this make my MtG experience richer 💜

I use Endless Whispers in my Ghoulcaller Gisa deck and it is fantastic.  The deck runs a lot of high-power, low CMC creatures with pretty bad detriments.  You sacrifice them with Gisa, get a bunch of zombies and with Endless Whispers on the battlefield, your opponents now have creatures on their side that force them to discard, pay life, sacrifice permeants and so on.  True, my opponents now have a 8/8 trample, but the amount of zombie tokens I produce more than make up for any short comings.

6:17 - That card has shot up in value and play in since 2025.

I love overburden in my zur the enchanter deck

Illusionist's Gambit came with the Fae Dominion precon in the Wilds of Eldraine set.  One of the most powerful precons ever made.  Pretty sure a lot of people have been upset by being on the wrong end of it lol
