This video was filmed at Hikone, Minami-Hikone, Kawase and Inae stations on JR West's Biwako Line in Shiga Prefecture, Japan.

On the day of filming, heavy snowfall affected railway operations across the region.

As a result, the Limited Express Thunderbird services were diverted from their usual route via the Kosei Line and operated over the Biwako Line instead.

This unusual routing increased travel times by approximately 20–30 minutes and caused numerous service disruptions, including destination changes and partial cancellations for Special Rapid and local trains.

Almost every train on the network experienced delays, and freight services were also significantly affected.

Despite the challenging weather conditions, trains continued operating through the snow-covered landscape, creating spectacular scenes of high-speed rail action.

Enjoy the sight of Special Rapid trains, Thunderbird limited express services, HC85 Series Hida trains and long freight trains racing through the falling snow.
