Your grandpa reminds me of my late dad, and even myself. Dad taught me to do this kind of fixit yourself mentality, and I have so many tools that he and I modified or made from scratch over my 67 years and his 88 yrs, and people come to me with problems. Even though I'm no longer physically able to do a lot of the work, I am still asked for advice, ideas and solutions, and I credit dad always!
