Why not drive across town and see Bowman Gray Stadium where Wake Forest played their home football games when they moved to Winston Salem from Wake Forest NC. Bowman Gray is probably more famous for the quarter mile weekly (summer) NASCAR track that encircles the football field. Bowman Gray was featured on the famous cable tv program and billed as "The Madhouse. It's where Richard Petty won his 100th race. Great to have you in town GFed!!!
The coliseum was owned by the city of Winston-Salem until 2013. That's why the seats are that color.....but they should go all black when time comes to replace
Since you in NC hope you stop at UNC as well. When I was living there I tried to stop at there football stadium but it was in the middle of the school year so super packed lol
The city use own those stadiums and the arena. that's why the fairgrounds is there the arena was sold to university in 2013 and the baseball stadium was sold to wake forest after the new stadium open downtown
I was just at wake for their sports business summer immersion program and got on the football and baseball fields and also toured the athletic facility back on campus
