Day Two of my Crinoline ~ Lake Tali Karng Circuit walk saw me walking from my Big Hill Camp over to McMichaels Hut. The day started off with some fairly rough walking as I walked Long Hill before I picked up McMillans Track again and the walking got a little easier. The first half of the day was all about the big views while the second half featured beautiful high country plains and creeks.

It's those lower temperatures & light to moderate breezes of the higher ground that make these adventures in steep terrain & tough vegetation possible, imo.

Bushfire risk & the possibility of becoming toast aside, I still wouldn't be tackling those torturous mountainous scrub bashes if it was hot & humid, that's pretty much for sure 🥵

Really enjoyed watching this one Kevin. Great to be up in the High Country again (through your eyes!). Todays walking definitely has AAWT vibes. Very nice walking, gentle light and beautiful views.

I'm enjoying this series alongside reading a book set in the Vic High Country ... makes it a bit more fun. Look forward to hearing how the possums behaved overnight. Although I think I read a comment about mice making an unwanted appearance. All the creatures of the night!

Great stuff mate!
Long hill has such a beautiful remoteness to it.
I had the same possums visit when I was at McMichaels a few months ago.
(mt. Reynard is another location close by worth a visit).
