How refreshing it was to see this video. I have looked and looked for drills for my little youth team & these really helped. So many of the other videos aren't done too well. I'll have to tweak them for their age group but the video was to the point & no wasted time showing the drills. For anybody making videos this is how it's done. Thank you guys for making this and in the manner in which you made it. EXCELLENT! I just wish people would post more drills for like 6 and 7 year olds on here.
I used this for my third grade boys team and it works really well! Thanks a lot! We actually beat the first place team with some of these plays. Definitely recommend them.
Smokestack would work better if the 2nd Man sets the Screen. He needs to Screen on whatever side the 3rd Man is going to Cut To. This gets the D to MOVE a little bit and helps to set up the 2nd Mans Defender to THINK 2nd Man is 1 of the Cutters and makes him SLOW to Help. 2nd Man sets the Screen at the same Time the 3rd Man Moves. 4th waits then runs Tight off the Screen. Then 2nd Man either Drops Out to the 3 Point Line OR Curls to the Opposite Side of the Lane for the 4th Man.
This is a great set of Basic Plays for Young Kids and worth keeping in the Playbook at the way through High School (but expand on them for HS ofc). Great Video Coach. I was on Deaths Door not to long ago and I am back in the Game starting Over as the Middle School JV Coach. Gave your Video a watch to remind myself of where the Players are at this Level after previous years of Varsity. We actually ran that 1st Out of Bounds Option EXACTLY like that as part of our 4 play BOX Series. Always worth at least 1 or 2 good looks.
This is on e of the most complete drill videos I have seen on the internet. We do some of these drills already but I saw some points I need to emphasize more in my practices.
Thanks so much. I specially like the screen for the screener. I could never understand it until I saw your video. Great video. Also, like your different versions of the motion offense. Great!!! I've seen all of these work in games.
Some of this is really good as a middle school coach I am always looking for simple thing.....that can be put into place with little confusion on the players part.....I will use some of this
