I spent $5,000 on a GIANT 600-gallon aquarium for my monster fish… but getting this thing set up turned into an absolute disaster.
This 8-foot-long acrylic aquarium arrived in WAY worse condition than I expected. It was covered in old film, adhesive, cat hair and even cat urine/feces residue. After finally getting the tank inside, we spent hours peeling, scraping and cleaning it before I attempted something even riskier — drilling the aquarium myself.
One mistake could have cracked the acrylic and destroyed the entire $5,000 tank. And after getting everything drilled and plumbed, I discovered another major problem with the bulkheads that put the entire build on hold.
This is the beginning of my biggest indoor monster fish aquarium build yet. Once this 600-gallon tank is completely finished, it’ll become home to some of the craziest fish in my collection.
