One of the best breakup songs ever written.

The lyrics were written by Björn (guitar) and sung by his ex wife Agnetha (the blonde) - he says it’s not directly about their break up but it influenced him. If you watch the official music video you can see the pain in Agnetha as the divorce was finalised a week before they shot the video. The other two, Benny (keyboards and main music composer) and Annifrid (Frida - the brunette) were also married but divorced  the following year. Lots of ABBAs songs are relationship stories but on every one the ladies sing so beautifully and, in my opinion, Agnetha and Frida have two of the best female pop voices ever. When they sing together it’s known as “the third voice” because they are so powerful together and blend so perfectly and their harmonies and rang pegs are stunning.

The Abba rabbit hole - you will never be the same after getting Abba.

I've always wondered how she could sing this song without bursting into tears

Imagine singing that song stood next to the man who wrote it and you were once married to him

There are two types of people, those who love ABBA and those who don't dare admit that they do!!

Abba may have split up in 1982, but their music still lives on.

and not an autotune in sight, just pure 110% talent and skill.

They aren’t background singers, they are ABBA!

ABBA is, for me, the greatest band of all time.

This is a taste of why.

A joy to see you caught up in the song.

They have sold over 450 million albums and have a musical that has taken over 5 billion worldwide and now Voyage in London.
The day before you came,  is a hauntingly beautiful masterpiece by them.

Constantly voted to be Abba's best song.

Without a doubt, ABBA is the greatest pop/rock group of all time. This song is just one of their many many timeless classics.

ABBA was a global phenomenon.  And for good reason.

I recommend their song SOS.

The greatest group of all time, and this is my favourite song of all time. Thank you

There are a lot of people who NEVER REALIZED they love ABBA..

Chills!!! When you get chills that means It occurs when the brain's auditory cortex connects with emotional and reward centers, releasing dopamine, often as a result of predicting or anticipating a dramatic musical shift. it is amazing  what positive impacts music does to the brain. Music really is the spice of life......

FOR ME ONE OF THE BEST SONGS IN HISTORY ❤❤❤

To listen to this song for the first time and immediately intuit the story behind the music is really brilliant

You may have watched mamma Mia but you haven’t listened to ABBA. How they played has way more soul than what you see in the movie. Agnetha is known for “crying with her voice” as she sings, and this song is an example of it. Frida has such a strong and powerful voice. The two together make the perfect voice blend. That is not in the movies 😉
