🐺 Episode 153 — Werewolves fed on people in Cantabria — until an old man named them

In the Cabuérniga Valley, Mateo Ceballos finds a cow carcass by the stream and footprints that don't match any known animal. Mateo is a cattle farmer and volunteer firefighter; Irene Valles, a rural health worker, attends to the shepherd who found the body and notices a circular mark on his shoulder.

The Civil Guard attributes the damage to feral wildlife. But the rain washes away the tracks too quickly, a figure crosses the water silently, and another presence seems to be watching the stable from the beech forest. When a man disappears near the sinkhole, Mateo joins the search while Irene waits at the clinic.

The night worsens. A rusty horseshoe, hardened salt, and names that no one mentions in the reports appear. Mateo gathers several families at his house and decides to go out in the rain to ward off whatever is lurking near the gate.

What Telesforo Morante does by the stream, and the new horseshoe Mateo later finds above his door, transform this account into a story about thresholds, memory, and a decision no one in the valley can explain.

▶ Stay until the end and discover why Mateo no longer crosses the stream when it rains after a full moon.
