Nobody can convince me otherwise that the ghost of Douglass's mother lifted him up to beat that 10 count.

Was watching NBA hoops on TNT and this upset was announced by TNT during the halftime break.   Everyone was in utter shock.

I still get tears when I see this. Buster fought an amazing fight

Bro, I don’t know who you are but vintage boxing is hands-down the best channel on YouTube. Where have you been all my life? I can’t believe the quality, and probably 85% of these fights begins when the coverage begins. I feel like I’m dreaming. Seriously, I love you. Thank you. God bless you.

Douglas jab was a thing of beauty that night

Tyson was headbutting Buster like crazy in this fight.

HBO Boxing coverage was and always will be the Gold Standard for me,thank you for all the video's you keep giving us.

Holyfield looked somewhat annoyed at ringside 44:30 . Almost like he was thinking “ Man Mike is about to blow this fight.”

NO MOVIE CAN GET TO THIS LEVEL. A TRUE STORY.

To whoever is behind this channel... I only hope life repays you for all the joy you bring, really apreciate all the work you put in just to share these
Muchas gracias, amigo!

Great quality, never seen this fight in such perfect audio/video.

Sugar Ray is a great boxing analyst, seeing what the HBO team doesnt.

I like to think one of the commentators is actually Eazy E because he sounds just like him.

Dammit, I recorded this fight on HBO that Saturday night on VHS back then. I accidentally erased it a few weeks later.  This is the first time I've seen the original HBO broadcast since then. Thanks for posting.

Thank you very much for this original HBO coverage. No question about the quality of the remastered video. It is superb.

This is the best boxing 🥊 match in History !! And the biggest upset in history !! What a great fight plan for Buster Douglas ! He was determined to win that Night !

People need to remember that Buster was suffering from bronchitis in the lead up to this fight, had to take penicillin the day before the fight and had breathing difficulties during the fight, so was not 100% either.

I remember working algebra problems all day when I heared about the upset..

In hindsight, you could see it in Mike's face and body language from the walk out. Look at his face in the corner.

I was a crushed 14 year old watching this on HBO. Biggest upset ever! My older sister screamed," See?! Thats what he gets for always partying at Bentleys (famous nyc black club)
