Great interview. Here in Philly, Mid-South/UWF first started airing in early 1986 with a young Jim Ross in commentary.

The quality of production made for this video is unprecedented. In their mom’s basement, banner is not even straight old man sitting in a La-Z-Boy chair, being recorded on somebody’s cell phone with the voice production.😂😂😂

Two legends.

I enjoyed hearing this interview since I grew up in watching Watts wrestle and later the programs he ran. This interview must be 15-20 yrs old but good to hear the stories and reflect on the memories from those years.

Bill Watts is the single greatest mind in the history of professional wrestling: ask Bill, he’ll tell you

This is an awesome watch. 2 Pro Wrestling geniuses talking wrestling. Good times, thanks for the upload.

LORD LORD I SO MISS the old “Mid-South Wrestling”!!!  It was the BEST!!!

Damn good interview. I won’t lie Bill said it best when it comes to people under constant substance abuse. You’re not dealing with the person, you’re dealing with the substance. Man that one hit hard. If only folks understood that now.

Everyone gives bill a hard time a think he talks sence he just doesn't sugar coat stuff so comes across real bad but could listen to these two all day 😎

louisiana's tradition of corruption is older than the United States.  Much like how U.K. populated Australia;  to colonize Louisiana, when it was owned by France, special consideration was given to the dregs of French Society. French convicts, prostitutes, slaves, fallen courtiers, the uninheritable, foreign soldiers they couldn't pay, Republicans (Amonarchists) and proto-communists, were all offered land and amnesty in Louisiana.  And they were obliged to take them up on it.  But for many on the outskirts of French society, Louisiana was less of a second chance and more of a 'get out of jail free' card.
These were the values of the first citizens of the Louisiana Territory. They were not Quakers seeking political and religious autonomy, they were in many cases the worst of the worst. and they merely needed displace a few million Natives.

Unlike Australia however, who maintained a relativly strong political union with their Mother country over the centuries, Louisianaians were first individually cast aside by French Society, and later collectivly cast aside by the French State.   Imagine if you considered yourself an ethnic French-man, who resided in Lousiana, And then your government sells the Land underneath you and you're suddenly American, you were already uprooted from your culture, but now uprooted from your political identity.  Louisiana has never been the most devoted to the Stars and Stripes. or it's Laws, which were typical derived by Protestant Theology.

Cowboy sharp as a tack

Another good one. Keep em coming please sir.

I think Bill Watts wanted to talk politics more than wrestling, haha

Both guys body language is very interesting here.
