Thanks to Vindiggs, Norris Hockey will never die!!! I get it , and agree that today's hockey is the best players of today. But today's hockey is soccer compared to this era . Beauty.

Clark sitting on Brooke's chest and going all Donkey Kong on his face had me in hysterics. 40 years ago and I remember this as vividly as Dino trying to be Zorro on Richardson.

Of course Ciccarelli tries to decapitate Richardson with his stick instead of dropping the gloves as he knows Richardson would probably send him to the hospital.

I watched this game on TV in Minnesota visiting. As I recall Toronto police ended up arresting and charging Ciccarelli.

My wife and I had season tickets for the North Stars in the era 1981-1988. This was a great find because I remember watching this game live and reading in the paper that Ciccarelli was getting hit with serious charges. Nonetheless, this was a great recap of that time in the NHL if where if you challenged Wendell Clark, he might throw you on your back and make you eat a bunch of punches. As a Stars fan , I'll never understand what Bob Brooke was thinking with that matchup.
