Update: I'm aware there is now a method to obtain Newsworthy without modding the console. It's possible on PS3 and PS4/5, and I'll leave a link to the forum post about it under this message. I won't be doing this because I did the game on my alt account, so I'd have to redo everything, but I thought I'd let y'all know.

OG comment: To those who keep suggesting to change the time on the PS3 for Newsworthy, that doesn't work (Proof: Just tested it minutes before writing this). The message is server-side, meaning the devs have to add it themselves. If it were that simple, there shouldn't be a reason why there is no message. I appreciate the suggestions, but the only way to get it is to cheat, which I will not do.

12:21  this guy rly didn’t notice he also turned into a spell punk?💀

Glad you didn't skip it completely, Swap Force was my first game and it's still my favorite all these years later

2:51 Just 1 Trophy Alone makes me mad because of Online Trophies

Normally swap force is impossible to platinum because of the newsletter not getting any updates ever again, but I am one of the lucky few who had that trophy way back in 2015 and still have the account so I have the potential to platinum every single Skylanders game

So glad i got this trophy back in December, 2013.

11:55 I mean, the whole idea of the mission is that the tree guy was actually an undead spellpunk in disguise tricking you to free his friend and then kill you. I honestly really liked the twist in the end back when I first played it

I’m sad that the stupid Message of the Day Trophy was glitched from the start in Australia so I never had a chance to get it. But great video. Love watching Skylanders in the big 2025

Never played a Skylanders game ever but this was a great watch, those rages were great, its amazing how a difficulty makes you start to hate the game as a whole 😭

Its so nice to see people still play this game 12 years later. This was one of my first games ive ever played and I miss the skylanders franchise

Amazing effort! Can’t wait for Superchargers to happen! Where you can actually get a platinum lol

26:54 THERE'S NO FIGURE FOR THAT

Hell yeah dude this game was my favorite before trap team came out is a nostalgia but is a shame that you couldn't get the platinum because of the online you could have get the platinum if they didn't put that online trophy. Good luck superchargers make sure all the vehicles toys

Now that was such a fun video
It warms my heart everytime to see you make a video on this series
Skylanders is still my all time favourite series ever and every time I see your videos on them (yes I rewatch a lot) it just makes me wanna keep going and get all the trophy’s myself lol

Still suck the newsworthy is never gunna be obtainable but hey if all others are done then I see it as a platinum in my book

Can’t wait for when you do superchargers

Nice, Can't wait for Superchargers and Imaginators

Edit: I'm I The Only One Who Noticed, Him 4:51

Great video, Shardyx! Sad you couldn't get platinum, but congratulations on getting this one done. Can't wait for Superchargers!

11:49 The guy wasn't an idiot and didn't forget to mention the friend was an enemy, the guy was an enemy himself. When the camera pans back, he's now a spellpunk. It's a trick to trap and defeat you, which is also why the guy "disappears" when you're leaving

Bro edits are smooth, I love it!

Nice effort man. Skylanders reminds me of my childhood and it's incredible.

as someone who also played through nightmare mode in both this and trap team i 100% agree with those fights (even though i just threw most of them off the map with Magna Charge)
