You guys can trust me on this - the Flood are real, they're being kept in a bunker in [REDACTED] City, [REDACTED]

Elite: "Ah I remember when I fought the flood on your planet, it was intense, but we managed to save your species"

Concerned Marine: "The flood?... From the bible?"

Elite: "Bible?"

ONI covered up the flood so well that 343 doesnt even know about it

You know what I would do if I was ONI trying to cover up alien zombies? I would create a movie or game that features them. That was when it inevitably gets leaked in like 25 years, people will just say “that guy is crazy, they’re literally just taking about the zombies from [movie/game]” and no one would take them seriously

@FabledThunder 2 years ago

Considering the background lore with ancient humanity fighting the flood and then being devolved back, that explains why humans instinctively made stories about zombies.

After nearly three decades of war with a literal crusade full of aliens, I think I'd believe in the possibility of a crab jellyfish the size of a toddler jumping into my chest to add more troops to their side, yeah. Them being the remnants of elder gods? Eh, maybe not. But the Flood as it is? 100%.

I kinda love how a random powder fed to pets made one of the most complicated organisms ever with more lore than we have knowledge of some actual species here on earth

Ah yes, my favorite part of any lore, the war crimes and conspiracies.

“A number of our loyal soldiers on the Ring may have contracted a serious Space Cold.” -Prophet of Truth
”WHY IS THERE A SPACE VERSION OF EVERYTHING?!” -Krillin

Now realizing that ‘Rtas likely glassed millions of people, civies and UNSC personnel alike, far way from Voi but close enough to be in range of being overrun by the flood is…chilling to say the least.

Honestly, considering how we've been in a war with space monkeys, lizards, birds, and bugs for 30+ years, I'd be a bit skeptical but wouldn't completely dismiss the idea of the flood.

Imagine seeing a IRL flood infection video leaked on some random discord server

@Elricbros125 2 years ago

Just started playing 5 last night for the first time and even the Arbiter was like “ew it’s ONI” to Locke 😂

@Scags_LoL 2 years ago

We got GTA 6 before the Flood's return to halo

In the ODST mission: "ONI ALPHA SITE", Micky will Ask Dutch if he's checking to see of Micky has a Flood infection after you stare it him for a long time.

I was just having a conversation with someone about how in Halo 2 Miranda had Cortana pull up everything on Installation 04, but Stacker and his men weren't informed of the threat before being deployed to the Quarantine Zone. So it's good to see someone talk about the Flood being covered up.

@NolDragon 1 year ago

Tons of colonies not seeing eye-to-eye with the UNSC are living close-by or with ex-Covenant members who are definitely not going to shut up about the Flood.
ONI can make marines sign a NDA but they can't contain the spread of rumors and news long. They even ended up caving in about the official release of the truth about how Spartan-II came to be, because more and more people were learning about it.

Eventually, they'll be forced to release an official statement confirming it but they'll probably turn it in a way "It WAS a threat but has been neutralized for good, nothing to worry about!"

"daughter abducted at age 6 and replaced with a clone"
Oh so you mean inducted into the spartan program.

@TildenCats 2 years ago

John doe is the male version of Jane doe. Not John Smith. John Smith is just a common name.

The doe is for unidentified dead bodies.

@Evenstephens76 1 year ago

I think the reason a Marine hasn’t leaked it to the press is because, like those who hold TS-SCI clearance in real life. They know the military would court martial them and ONI would bury the person in an unmarked grave or put them in a place like Midnight facility if they said a word.
