Could you live here? Is it worth the price?

I am a Senior saddled with a large house with two fully furnished suites and a houseful of International Students and a large yard with an 85 ft vegetable garden. What was once a joy  is now an albatross around my neck. YOu have the right idea of down sizing and saving every penny inorder to  enjoy your job, life of travel , recreation and making YouTube videos.  Home owners are burdened with maintenance, maintenance and more maintenance. YOu can watch the sky and world go by from your sweet little kitchen window.  Now a days, in most countries, we need every penny saved for retirement. Wishing you all the best. I watched your last appartment video a year ago and Youtube sent me this new video.

It's actually not bad for a bachelor apartment, and Akademicheskaya is close to downtown. It might be a bit challenging to invite friends for dinner, but you can always spend time in a nice café instead. And I personally like that the kitchen is separated from the bedroom.

Hey Jim! Congratulations on the new flat.

We are watching because we are nosy bastards on the Internet. Why else? 😂

The flat looks lovely in general. You can tell that the kitchen and the bathroom have been renovated fairly recently. The bedroom could use a bit of work for sure. Hopefully the landlord allows it. And the price is really good for a one room flat in Moscow.

Akademitcheskaya is a good part of Moscow. It’s a quiet family area. And it’s not too far from the center.

14 minutes in to this video and he finally gets to the apartment.  So if you don’t want a  long suffering tour of his neighborhood, just go on to the 14 minute mark on this video.

I live in a small 1 bedroom apartment in Bangkok 32 sq metres . I have access to 2 outdoor swimming pools, gym, sauna and a large communal garden. The Sky train is 100 metres away and I pay £325 quid a month for rent.

Congrats on your new apartment!! By the way, the, skinny cupboard is usually for spices on rhemtop shelf and baking sheets on the bottom:)

Нормальная маленькая уютная квартирка, нужно только поменять обои, шторы и немного мебели. Одному жить вполне хорошо.

That old light blue colour car is called "Moskvich", which means resident of Moscow.

Writing desk and cozy chair for working would be great

I love how you get shops and more on the ground floor of those newer buildings.  As long as you have thick walls and don't hear your neighbors, it is just fine. Good size room.  Great price. Live minimalist!

Nice apartment. Thank you for the tour!

I think that apartment is lovely actually.  May you feel content living there.  Being a minimalist makes living simpler, I think.  Thank you.

Jim you have a nice apartment with good local amenities. For the price I think you have done well, you will add your personnel touch to it. Thank you for the tour.

Congratulations and Thank You 👍 a nice quiet area, plenty of space if you're not ballroom dancing, everything you need, Wishing you a very happy homey year 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

Я смотрел себе квартиру в доме где ты купил кофе, там вполне вменяемые цены для этой локации, но в итоге взял в другом месте, район знаю отлично, я местный.

You're a minimalist, thats awesome! Love your new place! ❤😃👌✌️

It’s safe, green and you can get to the center pretty fast by the subways. Lots of Moscow citizens live in those “sleeping blocks” - parts of the city placed mostly on the sides of the city and majorly consisted of living apartment buildings ☺️👍

Give me a Kruschevka flat or a wooden framed house right on the outskirts and I'd be fine with it.  Damn! even one of those houses from the Abandoned Russia channel, just a clear up, and a lick of paint and it'll be fine.
