What a great week you had this week!  You're so fortunate to have both Michael Glassman and Raphael as friends and as your consultants to help you navigate your gardens!  I think what you're now doing in your willow walk, will be so wonderful.  The timing of your trip to England was perfect for you!  God has us where He wants us to direct our pathways in our journey of life!  I can't wait till you plant more flowers and bushes in this area!

Hi Janey! Just a thought, since you can’t find larger ivy,  maybe remove it from the planters , pot it up and put in a sunnier location until it’s larger in size. ❤ your beautiful planters! 😊

Hi Jeannie, the surefire white begonias will definitely winter over. I had gotten the red Cher fire begonias that were very large and tall from Baumans last year and I took a ton of cuttings of them as well as move the pots into the garage here in Portland Oregon they went right back out in their same pots with just a little bit of extra compost on top in the spring and they bloomed all summer are still blooming and I’m going to try and winter them over for a third year this year the way I did it with them is I had a pot in a pot so I just have to pull the pot out which has roots grown into the dirt below, but that’s fine this time I will take all the dirt off and give them new dirt and root prune them again.
They are one plant that you can get at least 2 seasons out of if not more with cuttings. The cuttings that I put in the ground this year also did great.

Morning, Janey! I understand that weight of having things to tend to in Autumn! I finally get back outside after our intense Summer heat, and the garden screams for attention. It can be stressful, so I make lists, hahah! But, it's so joyful at the same time. It feels so satisfying to get things done! That combo for the front door planters, perfect! Hi, I haven’t been watching it for long but I absolutely love you. I learned so much from you. I do live on the West Coast also but I live in Washington on the other side of the mountains so I’ve got warmer and colder temperatures now anyway your IV that you want to grow up those if you take it out and buy 2 to 3 more so probably three at least and put them in your warm shady spot and then or in some when it cools off some morning sun they’re gonna grow so much faster for you to cover what you want to cover with the IV. It’s gonna take years in the conditions. It’s in and only that one little plant so I would say plant at least three or four of them around that but put them out cause they’re not. You can’t see them in the planter anyway and let them grow for a while that you can put them all in one pot and move them between morning sun or in the shade and let them grow some length on them and then plant them in there and you’ll be able to wind them up and then they’ll start growing better but that one covering that thing you want to cover is going to take you so many years it’s not even funny even a mature plant when you can actually get that to grow pretty quick I grow like mad, but you gotta have it in the right conditions and right now it’s just being too shaded off by all your other plants so I would just pick up a few more and take those out and just like I said, put them in your shaded spot when it gets cooler put it out somewhere gets Maureen sun and once they grow a little bit, then stick them back in and wind it around there and the best place to go for Ivy like that normally, I hate to say it sometimes it can be The House plans. We’ll get longer ones and bigger ones. Just want you to know the one things I know something about. Thank you for all your share.
