I’m kinda surprised Marshall Giovanni Messe wasn’t even mentioned. Replacing Rommel as commander of Panzerarmee Afrika, Messe renamed it to the Italian 1st Army and was the main axis commander in the south of Tunis from the Mareth Line onwards. He was also the final axis commander in all North Africa, surrendering just a day after Arnim to NZ General Bernard Freyberg.

31:28 Little known german general? Rommel at that time was already famous for his 7tj panzer division campaign thru France, he was the first to reach Normandy and the Atlantic coast..

The Commander of the 6th Australian Infantry Division at the Battle of Bardia was Major General Iven MacKay (pronounced "mac-eye")

The narration, the pace, and the detail made the North African campaign come alive. It’s always striking how many lesser-known commanders, battles, and perspectives often get overlooked, but this video does a great job pulling so many threads together. History like this reminds us how complex and human these campaigns really were.”

Would be a plus if you used photos matching the campaigns and battles (eg intro pic for video’s 2nd battle is of a German panzer but the battle was between Italy and UK).

Americans are led to believe El Quatar was a victory outright (Francis Coppola 's screenplay:Patton). After the initial repulse of armored thrust, I didn't know days of stalled counterattack followed.

Rommel only arrived with a small part of his force with the rest to be spread out over two months. And he had been ordered not to attack until they arrived. So didn't really have a mandate to act fast. He just disobeyed orders and did it anyway.
