Thank you Funcom for sponsoring today's video!

What's great is that if it ever shuts down, it's preserved through its single player mode.

It needs a 3-4 player co-op with pve only without having to rent a server...imo

It’s essentially Conan Exiles with spice and ornithopters, and honestly, that’s not a bad thing. Funcom took the Conan Exiles base building and survival formula and wrapped it in Dune lore. The suspensor traversal and water mechanics give it a nice twist, though

NGL, when I hopped on my first constructed sand bike, I felt like Anakin crossing the dunes of Tatooine on his speeder bike. Game's a real vibe.

Many such cases.

Dude, YES!!! This game is awesome. I’ve never been able to get into No Man’s Sky, but this one has me completely hooked. It’s ridiculously addictive. I seriously can’t stop playing.

I have my eyes on this one. Especially the single player version

I played the hell out of Conan Exiles so I’ve been waiting for Dune to come to console. I’m loving it so far.

Once you get a personal shield belt, I feel like this becomes a melee combat game with some ranged combat on the side. Stamina and cool down management in a knife fight with a bunch of opponents gets really challenging quickly, especially when they have shields, too.

Its been amazing. Can't wait to see whay they add next.

The gaming getting a singleplayer mode is what made me finally buy it. 65 hours in. Really liking it.

But it still abides by rules from MP wich is good. You cant pause. You cant save. You die there is no reloading. You respawn.

Sometimes the combat can get a Little bit boring tough but its well compensated by the world building, atmosphere, survival and vehicles.

Cutscenes are gorgeous. Character conversations ingame are...not tough. But the devs do know their dune lore tough and i like the alternative timeline.

So yeah. Really am enjoying it. 8.5/10. Its not a witcher 3 quality but its still pretty good.

I moved from a low population server to a medium population and I regret it. There isn't a square inch of the map that isn't covered with gigantic bases. I'm several hours in, but I'm contemplating either waiting for the 7 down timer to move back to a low pop or just start a single player character. Seeing all the bases littering the map killed my desire to play. They've even blocked paths so you can't drive a vehicle to certain areas.

I played for a while after the launch. Always wanted self-hosted server, but single player is even better. Glad you are enjoying your time in the game.

I began playing Dune Awakening about one week ago and I'm so hooked on game already :)

Neat. Respect devs who do smart things.

My buddy and I have been nonstop grinding since launch and we’ve both already got tons of work done, and have built half of our castle.

For MMOs the setting is the most important thing I feel, since most aren't exactly the deepest of games. With a setting like Dune it has a great chance to live because every year there is going to be new people watching the movies and reading the books and wanting more of that experience. MMOs like New World and the hundreds of others that have attempted it have struggled to consistently pull in new players

You were sponsored to do it not "pleasant surprised", there's a difference Yong

It pulled me in as well, been playing it all week!
