The biggest fuck you to any of the Craig doubters was the fact that he gave us arguably the best bond film in his debut. Casino Royale is a masterpiece

Craig had the longest tenure but he was also the only Bond who had a character arc and a beginning middle and end. Even in his weaker films he was the best part. He left some pretty big shoes to fill.

"Knives out for the new James Bond." -- that one actually did age quite nicely :)

The fact that he was struggling with issues from people calling him ugly online just goes to show you how we're all human and how many people are so vile and miserable.

I saw “Casino Royale” out of drama school, and his performance and the physicality he brought to the role were a master class in how to be the #1 on the call sheet.

One of the main reasons why Daniel was great as Bond was  because he seemed real. He was very believable. That's why he was great. His Bond was not jokey and obviously unreal. His Bond felt very real. Great job.

Daniel Craig redefined the bond franchise with his performance as Bond. This is why he’s my favourite James Bond.

My heart melted when Bond visits Vesper's grave in Matera, saying "I miss you".

I'll never forget the ridicule: blond hair, blue eyes......he really proved anyone/everyone wrong within the first 20 minutes of Casino. He's done a great job for his time and did very well. Thank you very much for continuing to keep Bond alive Sir Craig. Been a Bond fan as long as I can recall.

After watching Casino Royale, whenever a movie had Daniel Craig in it, I watched it and was never disappointed. On the rare occasion the movie was not so good he always shone. I'm 77 years old and had given up on Bond after Thunderball but the trailer for Casino Royale was enough to get me involved again. While watching the movie I kept thinking Daniel is the perfect James bond not just someone acting the part. I have re-watched all of his Bond movies many times but Casino Royale is the one I return to the most. Thank you Mr Craig and everyone involved especially Léa Seydoux is a great actress and the most beautiful woman I have ever seen.

I'm an 80's kid who grew up watching the Bond films, but it wasn't until I saw Daniel Craig in Casino that I fell in love with the character. To me Daniel Craig humanized James Bond and that's why I think his offerings were so special!

One of the best casting decisions in HISTORY.

This was so emotional. To see the arc of Craig go from being hated as Bond to the amazing legacy he leaves behind is just so incredibly inspiring. Well done Mr. Bond!

I love this retrospective documentary as we are entering 20 years of casino royale, i have watched it severally as a constant boost of confidence. It documents Daniel's growth frompublic rejection to having the longest tenure at the prestigious role. His humility is admirable. Its inspiring. You can tell that he gave his all for the role with such humility. Thank you Daniel. Its not about the role, its about who you are. Growth....... The function of a man is to live , not to exist. I shall not waste my days trying to prolong them, I SHALL USE MY TIME.

My favorite Bond actor, the first Bond I saw in theaters, the only Bond to make me cry, thank you for bringing action and humanity into one beautiful character.

Daniel Craig's final speech to the set... I cried.

Daniel Craig brought the James Bond franchise right to the 21 century; gave breath to 007 with a modern twist that immortalized James Bond forever.

Craig gave it his all.. emotionally and physically. Thank you Daniel Craig and all the crew and actors  involved in the production of the movies.

What this documentary shows is that James Bond is more than a film series.  He is a culture, he is a part of our lives, a part of our fantasies, and for the actor who plays him, Bond becomes a way of life.  Because you can’t play James Bond without BEING James Bond.  That standard was set by Connery and upheld by Craig and anyone else who plays Bond must undergo the same transformation because the fans will not accept a James Bond actor who does not live the image he portrays, who does not feel in his bones that he IS James Bond.  He must convince us that he IS suave, sophisticated, capable of staying cool under pressure and even display a certain dry wit — the famous Bond humor.  I hope the actor who plays the next James Bond continues that tradition.

3:11 - The fact that Daniel Craig had been a brilliant and talented actor previously, who had honed his craft to a fine art, but was just looking for a "cool" role where he had a "cool persona", took on being James Bond...and just absolutely knocked it out of the park in Casino Royale is, to me, the most Bond thing ever.  Like:  "Yes, I'm this absolute stone-cold killer at my job, but I need to put on a dinner jacket and look cool once in a while".
