A sad story about the actor who played kerim bey, his name is Pedro Armendáriz, during the shooting of the film "The conqueror" he developed neck cancer, reportedly, endured great pain to film "From Russia With Love" (he visibly limps in most scenes) in order to assure his family financial resources after he died. He acted in best bond film of all time.

fun fact: Pedro Armendariz's (Kerim Bey) actual son would appear in License to Kill as President Lopez

Kerim Bey is the best Bond ally. Would never guess Pedro was seriously ill. Amazing man and performance 👏

This is a classic scene. I love the acting between the both of them. This is what the new films are missing. The best bond films have the least action

Kerim Bey is probably the most loved and best all around Bond ally in the entire franchise. A real mensch. RIP to the great Pedro Armendariz.

I do like the start of From Russia With Love when SPECTRE were talking about James Bond.

Such class and sophistication.
From Russia With Love is Connery’s best outing as 007 imo. As Kerim Bey would say, “charming”.
RIP Sir Sean and Pedro.

I think Kerim Bey and Tiger Tanaka are the best on-field allies Connery's Bond ever worked with

What a good looking man Sean Connery was. Handsome was an under statement.

RIP Pedro Armendáriz (May 9, 1912 – June 18, 1963), aged 51
And
RIP Sir Sean Connery (August 25, 1930 – October 31, 2020), aged 90
You both will be remembered as legends.

From Russia with love is my favorite of all of them it’s an actual Cold War thriller instead of a save the world type one movie

Rip Sir Sean Connery 1930-2020 and Pedro Armendariz who died in 1963 at age 51 and was terminally ill with cancer during filming of From Russia With Love and killed himself with a gun smuggled into his hospital room as the cancer was causing him a great deal of pain.

Pedro Armendariz Junior, played in James Bond too as a president of a Latin American country. He too died from cancer like his father.
