Thank you for putting the camera behind you so we can see your shots.

brotha you need to address your clubface I don't think I've ever seen a more open clubface can't imagine what you would shoot if you got that organized 40 is incredible!

I don't know if you know this, but you can slow-mo the swings by using the < > keys. I did that on your swing, and I have no idea how you get your club face back to square so close to the ball. When you're halfway down, the face of the club is pointed straight up to the sky. Arms are way too far away from the body as well. Your practice swings are fine;  full swing is totally different. Just a few things I noticed. You may already know all this. This is my first video I watched from your channel. I've been watching Jim's videos for a few years now.

Yeah you are setting up 45ish degrees closed but everything else a combination of your regular swing. I don't think you can judge JVGA for distance control until you become more familiar with his technique.

Great challenge thx sharing
You watch this you will see though setup correctly you seem to be coming across ball slight L chicken wing it hobbles your distance as you already see
I took your challenge too

Simple tweaks you got this trust the swing stop over the top swinging youll be pleased

I see so many guys trying JV’s swing that look like this; feet spread way too far apart for some reason, and shoulders that are definitely not closed at impact. You can also tell just from the heavy breathing that this fellow is putting far too much effort into the swing. Try this: feet no more than shoulder width apart, only about 30-40 degrees closed (chest & shoulders too!), bring the hands back slower & only to hip height with the club at 90 degrees to our straight arm, swing through at what feels like half speed along the closed setup line (towards right field for a right handed golfer) 😮while rolling the trail arm over the lead arm to only hip height on the follow through (remain still & closed!). Do all this while staying loose & relaxed. It’ll feel like we’re going to lose distance, but the result from better ball contact is surprising. Relaxed, low-effort swings nearly always get better results.

You start out closed, but before you swing, your right shoulder comes back to even with your left shoulder

Thanks for acknowledging your mistakes in your first application of Jim’s swing.  Too many think they can watch the free stuff on YouTube and master this technique, but there are a number of nuances that aren’t revealed on YouTube that make or break consistent success.

That's not the JV swing, but good video.

I tried his swing without paying for the program and learned that weight forward, body stillness, and relaxed swings improved my game.

Path is not coming from the inside.   Clearly illustrated at 17:15.

My goodness...you are so open on nearly every shot. Even when you are demonstrating the swing path drill your right hand is taking over the swing.

Even in your set up your shoulders are open by the time you start to swing.

Over the top swing

should be hitting a draw, inside out swing
path

you are losing distance because your shoulders are open and set up and therefore you do not have the proper set up.  YYou have to close of shoulders and set up not just your feet.  Looks to me like you coming over the top on every swing which is why you're losing distance.

Like other videos about jv swing....totally toooo much turn on the closed stance

Too much talking

To stay closed on forward swing, simply drop your back shoulder. Swing back. Shoulder goes down. The effort was there, but nowhere near the JVA swing. Good content though.
