I remember when I was a single mom.  I was trying so hard to do everything I thought I needed to do and went overtime in attention to my kids in addition to that.  I got to a place where I was completely defeated and overwhelmed. My mom had a lot of kids as well.  She told me something very wise.  She looked me right in the eyes and said "honey, lower your standards."  I told her I couldn't do that for _____ reasons."  She said "Lower your standards further."  I told her what about _____ and she told me I wasn't lowering my standards enough.  It really threw me for a loop.  I took it into my head and decided to try it out.  My mom is wise.  Big batch cooking is great but if you just can't do that, who cares?  You're still feeding your kids.  You may not do everything you used to do.  Who cares?  You're still a great mom who tries as hard as you can do be the superwoman you already are, plus you're learning new skills for going through a challenging time.  Sounds pretty busy and awesome to me.

I live vicariously through your Sharp Shopper videos.  I dream of such a place here on the west coast.

My son asked why i enjoy watching your videos because i hate food shopping so much, i explained i enjoy watching your hauls so much more and im not the one lugging bags and making decisions!

Meatballs in the slow cooker sounds good! I’m going to order some from Walmart. I think I’ll bbq them, make some potato salad and some green beans. “Hey look! We meal prepped!” 😂❤ that’s should last a few days.
