Oh boy, not this video again… 😂 thanks for watching and sharing this, Max. Your passion for FF7 and videos about it were definitely one of the reasons I started making videos of my own and it means a lot that you and so many others enjoyed it so much. Who knows what the devs have planned, but it’s so fun to analyze and speculate.

Max: It means Cloud has to let go of his best friend
Me, nodding: Zach
Max: And his ghostly girlfriend
Me, still nodding: Also Zach

The thesis, antithesis, synthesis concept was illuminating.

Prediction: Aerith's true death scene will be revisited as a part of the lifestream memory reconstruction segment with Tifa and Cloud

Nearly 3 hours of Mako poisoning to consume...dam you Max

I find the idea fascinating that the remake trilogy isn't about changing events, but giving the character's more resolute emotional endings!

"Imagine having this big world to explore but everyone is sad and hopeless, that would suck". Max that's every From game ever made and you love them

2hrs of Max watching something related to FF7, we... we are in the livestream?

I guess that's the rest of my night settled.

What’s wild is always watching Max’s videos on the topic and then you read the mostly positive comments hopeful for the future of the series.

Then every comment has at least one reply of someone being an absolute baby that people like these games.

It’s fine to dislike something but I think people engage way too much with things they dislike, spending too much time debating with the people who like something on why they shouldn’t.
Like you can be watching a 3 hour video on something you enjoy instead.

Part 3 beginning with young Sephi aside, i think the game will have the "Snow boarding " scene. Everyone still mourning and Cloud says, "Anyone wanna join me to go snowboarding?" And Everyone's like no, read the room and shit. Then Cloud's like, "Fine, suit yourself" and goes snowboarding alone. No music. Just eerie silence and howling winter gales all around. It sets the tone for the next game. The rest of the party is constantly doubting Cloud every time he's not around.

The goodbye scene between Aerith and Cloud really is the best in the whole FFVII series, not just Rebirth. It absolutely made me cry and it’s pretty uncommon for me.
What a great video SubTXT. SUBSCRIBED to your channel

Genuinely, SubTXT knocked it out of the park. The editing, the cross-referencing, the writing, this video is damn near perfect.

"Advent Children isn't the good ending! Cloud becomes a mopey shithead with space cancer and a bad dad!" Love it.

I think FF7 resonated with me (not a male though) because Cloud's revelation that he never was in SOLDIER, that he made himself "better" in is head than what he actually was, felt so real. Everyone see themselves as "more" than they really are, everyone is their own "hero", and I found that the game depicted it perfectly

holy media literacy

"Don't worry chat, I licked my hands!"

Man this video is doing for me what the easy allies video did after the remake. It puts all my mixed feelings into perspective, connects some dots I was unable to connect and makes me whole heartedly excited for part 3

As far as the clock is concerned, I think its just their way of using the clock room in the original FF7 Temple of the Ancients as a way to show you that you are going back in time to play the same part from a different teams perspective. Just a creative way to utilize an area in the original without having this weird clock room to navigate.

2:49:00 The last minute twist may surprise you. The literal next line is "What's this got to do with Sephiroth?"
