Cane Garden - Drive Saint Vincent and the Grenadines

This week I was Grounded, Doctor's order.
Good thing I had some footage that I haven't used yet.

Enter Cane Garden, One of the more "Upscaled" regions of Main Land St. Vincent, with mostly large, Beautiful homes, High land prices and a few bad roads... can't have it all I guess.

Sitting on the South Eastern Coastline, just below Kingstown, Cane Garden offers a great view of the Grenadine Islands... why didn't I say that in the video?
Hmmmm.

I may need to script some bits of my unscripted drives.

I’m enjoying your videos tremendously. I haven’t been back to SVG in 13 years and your videos made me plan a trip for 2022 God’s willing. I also didn’t realize the streets had names in cane garden. Wish more streets would have names given GPS is a huge tool in getting around these days. Thanks for the videos and God bless.

Cane Garden lives up to its name - all the roads are named after a flower. "Ladies Slipper" is called busy lizzie here in England ... I think! I didn't see a "jump up and kiss me" though!! You'll probably have to ask somebody from the older generation what that is. It looks like a posh area. You don't hear that term so much now. I guess they would call it an upmarket area - because the houses look more expensive.
Was nice to get an input from your daughter in the previous one. Your mango plant can be easily replaced even if you're not a gardener. Just get a plant before it starts branching and put it in the soil mixed with some chopped up seaweed. If you ask someone from the Agricultural Dept nicely they will graft it for you with a cutting from your favorite species and you will be eating mangoes from it within three years. If you put a circle of sticks around it while it's growing it will be protected both from animals and humans. But bear in mind that they grow quite big, so allow enough space for it to expand. Thank you, that was a beautiful drive. Cane Garden has really grown, I would definitely get lost. Meanwhile, I have yet to see a Lady slipper or Hibiscus on those streets 😁 or a rose bush in Rose Place, Rose Bank, or Rose Hall. What happen to the roses? Maybe they were named after ladies with that name? Maybe. I agree with you Kingstown would not be the same without the vendors. It would be great if they can rise above the poverty line so they don't have to be there. You crack me up every time you see mangoes 🤣 🤣 it lessens my pain. I so long to sit and chain eat mangoes like I used to before I came here 🇨🇦 no need to cook at all 🥭🥭🥭. Take care of yourself, and stay safe, stay blessed.
