Ooooooo Leon's in touble now.

The unova team would be so tuff if all of them were fully evolved

Serperior
Mega Emboar
Samurott
Unfezant
Leavanny
Krookodile
Mega Scrafty
Seismitoad
Gigalith

They did both Torterra and Noivern so dirty after they evolved, especially the former. The two had SO much potential, but they never got a chance to truly show it😔

Torterra Got Done Dirty.
He got Hard Countered

Torterra is legit the Rock Lee of ash’s pokemon. Had its highest highs in the beginning but didn’t really do anything else noteworthy after that (especially after it evolved 💀)

Torterra is like One Punch Man. Started Off Great, Fell Off Afterwards

Nah bro that thumbnail is foul 😭

Easily the reason most of the weak Ash Pokemon are so weak is because they weren’t the writers favorite.

torterra got the short end of the stick. He was ashs ace until chimchar joined then he got sidelined. He got a new battle style then got rid of it with rock climb when rock polish is right there

Bro giving JPR a run for his money

That thumbnail was designed to ragebait and of course I'm falling for it

Torkoal got done dirty

I wonder what would have happened if Ash taught Torterra Rock Polish

Will never stop breaking my heart to see Oshawott on teams like this.

Man Ash's Torterra really got done so dirty, so much potential but then he gets shafted for Infernape's story arc. he also was 5 gens too early before they finally gave this man shell smash
I wish Noivern  got introduced sooner lol bc being introduced so late into the series hardly gave him enough time to develop and gain experience. he did not have the luxury of getting constant screen time and a full series like..others who hatched early

"Ash's Scraggy can barely land a focus blast"
So does every other special fighting-type attacker without Aura Sphere

Can I just say that I really hate the whole "Torterra got worse because it became slow and bulky after it evolved" narrative?  For one thing, it acts like these aren't fictional creatures.  The writers could have just not made Grotle slow for its debut episode, which is the only time this is an issue.

The ACTUAL issue is that Ash started using Torterra and Grotle WAY less after it evolved very similiar to the Dragonite situation.  And when it was used, it was only to job to make the pokemon look stronger.  All to make it more impressive when Infernape jumps in to save the day.  I don't get why Lucario gets dragged through the mud for the writers making them outshinine the rest of Journey's team when Infernape was just as bad, if not worse.

What hurts even more for me about Torterra is that he was my first ever starter Pokemon. Even though I made the dumb mistake of teaching him 3 HMs he STILL won a heck of a lot more than Ash's did. I miss Andy the Torterra. :c (I would usually name the grass starters Andy for some reason too. I think I had Toy Story on the brain or something. XD)

8:01 palpitoad respected? I love to see it

Part of me wishes that if Journeys allowed his boxed Pokemon to come on much sooner, we could've gotten a full battle where Ash had to win a fight using his "worst" Pokemon.
