No question: Alfred would win the cookie fight every time.

I want the World's Okayest Dad mug to be canon.

So, yes, it does feel "fanony", but, I loved it. I'm sort of in that camp of being tired of angsty Batman and this scratched the Bat-dad itch.

I like it when the characters I know and love are... doing nothing and are actually having a good time, and respecting each others company, it's what I wanted from comic characters for a decade now.
Hell, I always wanted a X-Men story in the mansion like this, but that idea is bit outdated now, so make it just Krakoa then lol

I'm really glad they are acknowledging this demographic. I wouldn't want everything Bat to be this cheerful and slice-of-life, but it does provide a fun contrast to the grim and gritty violent side of things. I signed up to Webtoons to follow this. I hope if it is successful DC will consider getting their drama from outside the Batfamily, at least sometimes. Let them be a family! The Fantastic Four makes family crime fighting work! And Reed Richards is a jerk!

This is shamelessly “fanony” and I LOVE it. I feel that as long as they don’t “overstep” that line (and writers don’t make parts of this obviously satire work canon) it’s gonna be great

Yes, the webtoon is very fluffy, but it honestly reminded me of some old pre-crisis Batman stories. Believe it or not, there was a time when Bruce was just a tired dad who worked a really weird night job and loved his kids. I personally feel that there is always room for some good old fashioned fluffy Batdad. It's always been a part of his story, and it's just as important to his character as the dark and edgy crime fighter stuff.

I actually like the idea of Bruce being an actual good father and not the shit head he sometimes is. I mean he has done some sick things to his kids.

Batman is compassionate and this comic seems to highlight that.

The fact that there is a happy Batman comic and it's using Duke as a main character is all I needed to look at this book and that, plus whatever great moments we get for Tim, Steph and Cass is all I need to keep reading it for as long as the series lasts. Also this kind of the art style is one that I love and want to see it used more in office work.

All I ask is that they address Bruce's adoption addiction at some point in this. It feels like the perfect place.

Everyone else: debating Damien’s skintone.
Me: “Yeah yeah, whatevs. IS THAT A HINT OF A WHEELCHAIR UNDER BARBARA’S ELBOWS!!?!! 🤩”

never before have i had such a strong feeling of "Jesus, did I write this?" while consuming an official piece of media

there's a lot of people who just want good things to happen to the batfamily and this comic sure is a welcome change of pace (also Oracle Babs let's gooooooo)

Bruce not being able to cook is actually something that did appear in canon. For example in detective comics #685 it's shown that he can't even make an edible tuna sandwich. There was also this panel in Batman: Prodigal where Tim was super impressed that Dick could cook unlike Bruce. Im sure there are more instances of that, those are just the two I rememberd off the top of my head.

I'm just worried companies will start "monetizing" a platform traditionally used for free original/fan works, and how that could affect amateur creators or the sites they flock to.

No character is 'on' 24/7- there has to be some breaks between all that crime fighting- or crime creating if you're a villain. Still, the world isn't in danger of ending every day of the week so seeing a slice of life tale about heroes and villains is a welcome change from the usual. Also, don't think I didn't notice at 8:54.

INTERNET: We’ll slip this by, no one will even notice.

I'm so starved for wholesome content I bought the fast pass with absolute no hesitation. Imo i think it's a good idea to have this on the side and it's not like DC is forcing this fluff on to ppl.
I like it better than paying to see Batman beat up another one of his kids again

@batsight1 5 years ago

Can the people of dc actually sit down and finally figure out the official colour pallet of Damian's skin colour cause now its just a freaking spectrum right now

@hypnos9116 5 years ago

Bruce not being able to cook definitely originated in canon.

There's some post-Knightfall issues after Alfred quits where Bruce tries and fails to make a tuna sandwich for Tim.

All the martial arts training in the world can't wash away a life of living with a Butler service.
