watching him do overcomplicated stuff instead of the easy solution is the real challenge 😭

By layer 5, the game has VERY little to teach you that would actually help. They're adding gimmicks to the levels because by layer 5 and beyond, you should be good enough to not NEED to be taught anything

As someone who's played and P ranked the hell out of this game i actually like the marked for death and secret encounter challanges, makes replaying the levels quite a bit more fun to try to P rank them with an extra thing to complete which is a mechanical challenge and not core nuke + rocket ride across the map

21:20 i think hakita ran outta stuff to teach you

9:48: it would be funny if after so many +DISRESPECT that it would give you an achievement saying “didn’t your mama ever teach you manners?”

Honestly the fact he doesn’t know about some of the more techy techniques like slam-storage and rocket-riding is kind of refreshing. Means he genuinely is going at this entirely blind and without any outside influence. Just a dude enjoying the game in his own way.
Love to see it.

In 7-2 you can actually find a book in the train track tunnel (before opening the gates) that gives some lore on machine consciousness and the directions for the "maze" at the end.

2 missed calls from rocket riding

3:08 "I can't kill any enemies" - 00ffaa as the song from no sound no memory (the SUICIDE FOREST LEVEL) starts playing

9:20 hearing flip witch ost was so jarring.

4:00 the Limbo layer is peaceful because it’s based off of Dante Alighieri’s Inferno, where each layer has worse punishment, and this layer is for good people who didn’t believe in God. The sinners here just sit here and do nothing. That’s the punishment.

15:21
00ffaa: Man, I have no idea how to access that room.
the damned sawthrower in his hand: ._.

Dude, your pacing and clean editing in this video was PHENOMENAL!
I'm so f*cking impressed.

your experience of ultrakill was so organic and personalized
I adore your choice to refuse researching things you didn't know.
Music Choices were brilliant
SFX when txt appears on screen, challenge transitions, pacing choices with the scripting, THE F*CKING COIN SECTION THANKS TO THE DIARY SHOWING YOU THE WAY THROUGH 2-1!!!

All of it was brilliant. You're so cool
plz keep making content

17:00 I shit you not I actually beat this challenge without even reading the book (or even realizing it was the challenge)
I had played Hades so I knew about the whole ferryman Charon and coins thing, so I decided to just chuck a coin at him because funny. You can probably imagine my suprise when he just let me pass after I did so.

First time i saw "Don't touch any water" it was on a level with a lot of water , and looked like a cool challenge , that ended up finding for a secret , like you said. The second time , it was for what i would call "The water level" where you spend most of time underwater , which surprised me a lot , and having to not touch any water was a big surprise , then a discovery of basically a new level , because no water change that level a lot.
It's the same for Marked for Death , it allows to play the level differently , and it increase the difficulty of the last room by a lot , which is great since it's the most violent room of the game.
And for the labyrinth in 7-2 , you have a secret book that tells you the path.

Fun fact: In 4-3 there is a bar of soap hidden in the last room, on one of the beams in the ceiling you can stand on. Putting it on the pedestal instead of the torch or skull gives you a pretty cool rainbow lighting in the room instead of just a plain blue or green. It'll also make the pillar in the center spin slightly faster than when you use the skull or torch.

Also, if you have done 1-S, going through 4-3, heading into the tomb of kings ,not picking up the skull, walking out and continuing as normal, you'll notice something is different than when you usually go through the level.

Tip for 4-2: you don't need any weapons to fight the Insurrectionist! Stay on the glass below the red skull, summon him, and he will dive head(?)first into the abyss

1:41 bro on my first play trough while searching for secrets and I just got the encounter and thought it was normal

"Kill a Power with terminal velocity" 😭

20:53 its anticlimatic because this isnt the final layer lmao
