DO NOT TOUCH THE BEAUTIFUL TIGER. IT'S THE HUMANS FAULT 100 PER CENT.

It seems to have been an attack by a human visitor on a tiger who was in his own territory and minding his own business.

Surely nobody is suggesting punishment for the Tiger? If the Tiger didn't attack a person in its enclosure, it wouldn't actually be a Tiger. Nothing should happen to the Tiger, except the best care possible.

We should perhaps focus on institutions to keep people in.

How have we come to the point where we need to stop people getting in to tiger enclosures...🤦‍♀️

If your stupid enough to enter an enclosure containing a big cat that can rip you to bits in seconds then you should expect that outcome, don't blame the cat,

Chris Rock - “That tiger didn’t go crazy….. that tiger went Tiger”

The correct title: “Mentally ill man dies in a Tigers natural instinctual response incident”

I feel for the loss of life and for the Man’s mental illness, because you can’t be anything other than ill to climb a protected and secure enclosure to engage dangerous wild amimals of any kind.

Social media is rotting people's brains.

Absolutely on the tigers side.
What did the fella expect?

It doesn't sound like the tiger viciously attacked the guy, it was probably just protecting his territory and felt a bit threatened

For clarity, speaking as someone who has been to the park a number of times.   Yorkshire Wildlife Park is NOT a "Zoo".  it is a very large, open site, owned by a charity and heavily involved in rare animal rescue and conservation and international breeding programmes. Including the two critically-endangered amur tigers.  Entry and other fees are how they pay for this.  From personal observation, all the park staff are lovely, and the care for the animals in their charge is amazing.

The tiger compound is large, has plenty of trees and different terrain, areas where the tigers can be well away from people, and (from observation on our own visits there) not an area that would be at all easy to get into.

It is all very well for your interviewee to say he wants to see such conservation sites and operations abolished.  Perhaps he could also have explained just HOW instead he proposes to fund such activities, and where?  Incidentally, there are and have been various large animals at the park that have been rescued from very poor conditions in (usually) Eastern Europe.  And others that are part of international conservation and breeding programmes, where the parks involved have little say in what animals the are allocated.  The YWP polar bears are a good example.

If some one decides to throw themselves to the tiger what can we do about it.

If people disobey warnings then they should expect the wild animal to behave like a wild animal

The enclosure has a 5 metre high fence with barbed wire.

That seems pretty secure to me

It’s pretty clear…stupidity cannot be 100% protected. It’s called natural selection

The Tiger only gave hime gentle nip on the neck, but when you are the one of the worlds top  apex predators, it turns out thats quite bad.

What do people not understand about the phrase WILD animals?

Captivity does not change their nature, they are still dangerous....

No tragedy ..no attack..just STUPIDITY FOR SOCIAL MEDIA

I hope the tiger’s ok
