Why was Charvaka philosophy erased? Let me explain - OSHO | What is Charvaka philosophy?

"Why was Charvaka philosophy erased?"

A question that shakes the very depths of Indian philosophy. In this video, we discuss a philosophy that was deliberately attempted to be erased from history—Charvaka philosophy.

Charvaka, also known as Lokayata philosophy, was an atheistic philosophy of ancient India that was based on logic, experience, and materialistic thinking. This philosophy denied God, the soul, reincarnation, and the Vedas, saying, "Live happily while you live; drink ghee on credit."
That is, enjoy life, live rationally, and after death, there's nothing.

So what was it about this ideology that the Brahminical system, religious institutions, and the priestly class were determined to completely eradicate it?

OSHO candidly discusses this topic—how rational, independent thinking was destroyed by superstition, religious slavery, and the fear of humanity.

In this video, you will learn:
• What was Charvaka philosophy?
• Why was it called an atheistic philosophy?
• Were Charvakas truly dangerous to society?
• Why did religion, the system, and power suppress it?
• What is Osho's perspective on this philosophy?

If you're among those who want to understand the relationship between religion, reason, and freedom—
then this video may change the way you think.
