Northern Kruger has a very different feel, with vast mopane woodland, quiet roads and the river systems around Shingwedzi. Over the next few days we explore the area slowly, taking in the landscape and whatever we find along the way.

On the S56 Mphongolo River Loop, we have an incredible encounter with a male cheetah as he investigated a no entry sign. On our final morning, we head out for one last drive before leaving Shingwedzi and find lions and their cubs in the early morning light.
