I was 48 years old in the year 2001 had to have surgery because of colon rectal cancer
At that time my Ovaries came out too
So I had surgery, menopause.
And we all know what happened in 2001 with the women's health initiative
No HRT for women
So I suffer for over 20 years with the worse hot flashes ever 45 minutes to a hour and night sweating
I had no life
Found a dr.who started me on HRT at age  68 I'm 4 years in to taking HTR it's the best thing I have ever done for my life
No.more suffering  
I will never stop taking  HTR

Sadly my mom had a full hysterectomy in her mid forties, and her generation, I feel, had no knowledge of the importance of replacing our hormones, specifically estrogen. So she has gone 30 years or so being estrogen deficient. She is 78 now and has an advanced stage of Alzheimer's. I am her caregiver.
Your channel has helped me so much, you are a wealth of knowledge. I now know the importance of estrogen.

I listened… to you probably about 1 ago… and I listened to you teach us  about the graphs… you shared ..different types of hormone therapy and you really helped me tremendously and I wanted to say thank you for all your hard work and for all your teaching ..videos ! You explained how important it was to be on the right dose… and every individual is different, but you did mention not to go any lower than a specific dose. I remember…. Because of heart health and brain health and ovarian health, etc., etc. and you explained…. Oh yes, and bone health…. And the different pharmacies which I chose against compound for good reasons…. Your education was tremendous…. And I didn’t only listen I received…. And it stays with me what you thought and I try to help others as well…. I even let them know who you are…. And where they can learn more about menopause and perimenopause…. And I tell them about you….
So I am on the right dose … for myself… now…it took time to level out, but finally it did, but I felt so good that I was educated, and I was my own advocate…

I  started HRT at 57.. progesterone pill… 100mg every night …and estrogen…patch .. twice a week..0.1… every Wednesday and every Sunday…👍

My doctor wants me to decrease my oral estradiol from 1mg to .5mg “because 1mg is a lot for someone your age.”  She is worried about blood clots, but I’m very healthy.  I had shoulder surgery recently and other surgeries with no problems.  I’m 72, and I feel great on my current dose. 🤔
